This is complete karma for the Clippers being premadonas. Safe to say 95% of the basketball world had them crowned as champions before the season had even begun. Kawhi chooses Clippers over Lakers Kawhi got PG to Clippers instead of him heading to the Lakers Clippers get Marus Morris and Reggie Jackson at the trade deadline preventing them from going to the Lakers Meanwhile Lakers get AD - Oh they gave up everything and got no depth Lakers - Get Dwight Howard and Markieef Morris oh that is nothing Lakers got no bench and are still just AD and Lebron Clippers will trounce them All these narratives and more that put the Clippers on a pedistal before they ever did a damn thing and now look at'em is complete karma...oh Pandemic P you in the drivers seat alright driving right back to LA on a half tank of gas and 4 flat tires. Lol, Lakers picked up two top 10 players in the game in back to back off-season and act like they're the Knicks. World's biggest underdogs. I'm rooting for them to win the West but man that fanbase is completely lacking in self-awareness. The Lakers were AT WORST seen as the 1B team in the entire NBA if not favorite the entire season (not sure who was betting favorites between them and Clips.) Now you guys want to talk about how everyone discounted you. Sounding like Pats fans out here. |

I get that within the context of them blowing a 3-1 lead it's bad but everyone that from the start acted like the Clippers were this OVERWHELMINGLY better team and the Nuggets had no shot was f***ing dumb. They finished third in the west! They were a game away from the conference finals LAST YEAR. They're really f***ing good, man. It's worse because the Clippers were picked by most analysts to win the title. They weren't some middle of the road team that had a good regular season. They were the favorites in most people's eyes. The Nuggets also just came off a grueling 7 game series where they had to come back from being down 3-1 and did it again. In games 5, 6, & 7, the Clippers had big double digit leads and they STILL lost. If they got to the finals or conf. finals and lost, that's one thing, but to lose in the 2nd round after the off season they had, after the regular season they had, this is straight up embarrassing. |

And reality will set in for the Clippers
They were paper favorites all yea despite the product on the court not equaling to what made them favorites. They never gelled as a full unit and it showed. They kept thinking they can just flip the switch and the switch never got flipped
Everybody in basketball including myself thought eventually they would get it together and they didn't. They won based on talent while I commend the Lakers for gelling as a team and everyone doing what they can in their roll

I've had more fun seeing/reading/watching... hell just "basking in the aura" of the "already Legendary" dogpile on the Clippers the last 2 days than I had watching any singular NBA game this season.

Not loving the Kings signed a Marty McNair from the Rockets to be their new GM. I mean he’s obviously better than Vlade (anyone with a pulse would be), but the thought of this guy putting together a Rocket Ball type team makes my stomach turn.
