Gasol returns to Raptors accepting his $25 Million dollar deal Apparently, he鈥檚 said that he鈥檇 stay with the Raptors if Kawhi Leonard stays, so the chances of Leonard staying possibly have risen. The fact Kawhi really hasn't left Toronto since the championship speaks a lot to me

I'm just pretending Kawhi is enjoying his time, ruling Toronto like Joker ruled Gotham in Batman the Movie.
Complete with giant balloons, dancing clowns and random explosions.

Per Woj, Kevin Durant has officially opted out with the Warriors. And with that, I could see this as possibly the beginning of the end to the Warriors Dynasty.

Warriors will be completely healthy and have cap space next off-season. Players aren't going to want to go there this off-season because of how murky next season will be, but they're far from dead. When Durant got there, they had already made the Finals twice and were the favorites in the West for the next X seasons. They need to replace some of their depth, but even without Durant, they owned the West and maybe if Klay doesn't go down, they extend the series. I think people are quick to write them off, because everyone is tired of them. But Draymond showed he still has great basketball in him, and a healthy Splash Bros is still a problem, Kerr is still one of the top 2/3 coaches in basketball, and they have unlimited resources from ownership to extend this window. This point in time kinda reminds me of the Friday the 13th movies when Jason is down, but nobody wants to check and see if he's dead.

Y'all see Enes Kanter get bodied on Twitter? I'm getting real tired of that guy. The international stuff sucks, but it seems like he's a real goober.

To update the story on the Rockets trying to trade Capela, Tucker, Gordon They are offering these players individually to different teams because they want to get the best 1st round pick possible Yeah okay. I can see a protected first for Capela but not for Gordon and Tucker. The plan is to be able to trade either Gordon or Tucker along with a pick in a sign and trade for Butler I don't see Kings giving up a 1st round pick for Capela nor do I see Boston doing the same. Maybe an Orlando jumps in the frey or Hawks who have collateral to deal from
But man... if the C's want to let the kids play and go with Tatum, Brown, Smart and Rozier they could REALLY use a guy like Capela. If they can pull that off and if Hayward can continue to improve off the injury they're top 3 in the East next year

The Celtics need a ballhandler bad, someone to run the offense through. Rozier is a solid, not great PG. Brown and Tatum excel at almost everything but that. Capela isn't much of a passer. I shudder to think of a real contender out East whose best passer is Marcus Smart.

I shudder to think of a real contender out East whose best passer is Marcus Smart. They will be in the market for a Rubio or Collinson I assume as well. Rubio seems more likely for Indiana where I think they give him a multi year deal and Collinson will be chased by the likes of the Suns I assume they would want Tatum to grow into ball handling responsibilities and force him into that role more being more comfortable not having a primary point. Patrick beverly would fit a Stevens team but I think someone like the Mavs will pay good money for him and he'd be a great counter to Doncic. Kemba to Boston would also be a good fit but I think Charlotte dishes out that money. I don't see them being comfortable paying Brogdon $20 mill. Elfrid Payton, a returning Isiah Thomas or Ish Smith seem like the direction they will go

Assuming they bring back Rozier. Luckily for them, his down year has decreased his value so maybe they feel comfortable plunging some money into him but I doubt he wants a 1-2 year deal.

If Charlotte doesn't offer the super max I can't blame him. I'm sure he's tired of missing the playoffs and if they're offering less than what I'm qualified for..nah, I'm good. Lol.

Those contracts strike me as a huge franchise hinderance if the guy isn鈥檛 ultra-elite. They鈥檇 just toil in mediocrity, but not be bad enough to win any lotteries or get good picks, for the duration of it. Charlotte restarts from scratch, Kemba goes to a winner.

I鈥檓 live Kemba, a decent fit and if it鈥檚 a 4 or 5 year deal it expires right around the time you鈥檇 expect him to have a substantial decline. They still need a guy to grab boards and throw outlet passes. I know you don鈥檛 really need a big man but you need to be better than Daniel Theis

I've never been overly in love with Kemba Walker, but a lot of that may have been due to the fact that he's been stuck in Charlotte his entire career while point guards like Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, and Kyrie Irving have played in bigger markets with better teammates on more successful teams. But looking at his statistics, Walker is easily in the conversation as one of the league's top-tier point guards and he just posted a career year.
He's 29 years old, so he's no spring chicken, but a four-year deal with Walker as the quarterback who helps to guide along Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown as those two mature and develop would be a huge gain for the Celtics. Plus, it says something that with Walker, I would project Charlotte as a borderline playoff team but without him, they're easily one of the four or five worst teams in the NBA.
So a hypothetical 2019-20 Celtics team would look like: Kemba Walker, Marcus Smart, Jayson Tatum, Gordon Hayward, and a big man with a bench of Marcus Smart, Romeo Langford, Semi Ojeleye, Grant Williams, and Robert Williams. They'd still need to round out the roster with a starting center and probably two more solid veteran role players, but with the right moves, that's a team that is at least top-three in the Eastern Conference.

Kemba to Boston is a nice fit
After all those years of missing the playoffs he goes to a talented team where he doesn't have to do all the work and Boston gets him in his prime years. Getting good money from Charlotte would have been great but he also realizes that Charlotte has no assets or abilities to do anything to improve which won't be a problem for Boston
