Good on him for opening up and talking about all this. Really hope things are better for him going forward.

I remember when everybody was mocking his weight gain and I told them that he was clearly depressed. I don't say that to toot my own horn; just to say that I think we should be more careful about our mocking of certain things sometimes, myself included.
As for Cass, I hope he is able to keep pushing forward and is not victim to his demons.

Maybe in a way getting cut from WWE was good for him and will be what's best for him in the long run. It's no secret that it's not exactly a great working environment backstage mainly because of how management is there as several people in interviews have talked about how it's like walking on egg shells at TV. I could definitely see it being especially miserable for someone dealing with depression and confidence issues like Cass.

The wrestling industry has a lot of stuff it needs to sort out, but one of the top ones is a healthy dialogue on mental health and addiction. How many guys have close call stories like this? And how many of them aren't around to tell any stories at all? Too many. Too goddamn many.

I find it interesting that the pair of Enzo and Cass appear to be going in opposite directions.
Enzo's gone Full-Dixie and I hope is gone forever... and Cass is going to use it as fuel for a comeback.

I wish him well. You could tell he was going through something after he was released from WWE and I think even a poster here said he was miserable according to a mutual friend. i know all too well what it's like living with depression and it ain't fun.

He lost a six figure income from his dream job and a relationship with a beautiful woman within a matter of weeks. There was no way for him to be anything other than depressed.

I know a guy who went to high school with him. The guy I know, himself wasn't friends with him, but he was baseball player where Cass was a basketball player. They're were guys who played both sports who are friends with Cass. Apparently he had trouble maintaining the lifestyle needed to succeed in the wwe,(strict diet and whatnot) that he would over compensate and it would effect him mentally. I myself don't know Cass, so I don't want come across as I guy who has a scoop.

He's definitely grown mentally from how he used to be. I wish him the best and hopefully he gets another chance on a big platform.

I'm glad to see him getting the help he needs to turn his life around. I wanna see this dude succeed so much after seeing this.
Also, this is one of the most real and honest videos about depression that I've ever seen and I really hope more people see it.

I'm glad he's pretty upfront with the fact that going to people for help or telling anyone you even need it is incredibly daunting, and how much it isolates you.

Kudos to Cass for bearing his soul like this. He may have already saved someone's life in the process.

Especially when every time you've reached out, everyone tells you to f*** off and stop bringing them down. "That's never happened to anyone!" It's what happens to me.
