Today marks the 30th anniversary of the end of Z Channel as it faded to black, the final movie to air on Z Channel was My Darling Clementine, the following day, SportsChannel LA took Z's place. While it was a local LA cable channel, Z, thanks in large part to Jerry Harvey became the pay channel to watch as it aired alongside the usual pay tv fare, directors cuts of films (Heaven's Gate for example), film festivals, etc. But in 1988, 2 unrelated things happened that signaled the beginning of the end of Z: the addition of sports (in the form of Dodgers and Angels home games + some WWF LA Sports arena house shows and Clippers basketball) and the Jerry Harvey murder/suicide, Z outlived Harvey by 14 months.
Now, can somebody please put online, issues of the Z Channel magazine?

Never got to see Z Channel. But love the documentary about it. At one time scans of the Z CHannel mag were up at the internet archive. But they appear to not be there anymore.
