I can't comment on the Librarian schtick because I haven't seen it but isn't what they're doing with Leva everything that people bitch about WWE doing? Hire someone off the indies and take away everything that got them over in the first place? That’s the joke...Leva and Avalon are two fantastic indie workers who got cherry picked by Cody and the Bucks, and then promptly stripped of everything that made them good, given a dumb new generation-era gimmick, forced to fall in line with a corporate directive, and not allowed to leave despite obviously being miserable. On BTE they’ve gone as far as “extending Avalon’s contract as punishment” when he complained about not wanting to be the librarian anymore. It’s a meta joke that is funny on BTE, but really doesn’t translate onto the main shows. As an aside, the Nakazawa/Jebailey match was phenomenal DDT-style comedy for those who are familiar with the FGC...I don’t understand the outrage about that match at all. Really, the preshow is all stuff to warm up the live crowd that targets the live crowd, specifically. In the past, it would have all been dark matches, so I didn’t find it all that offensive.

BR Live needs to improve or they need to go a different streaming service. I know BR Live is owned by Turner but having just finished watching it on demand, the number of pauses in the steam was just unacceptable.
I agree with those that like Hangman Page but want to see them hold off on putting the title on him.
Neither of the three man booths worked, IMO. Lord help me but the pairing of JR and Excalibur has been good. The three man booths seem to have someone walking all over either Excalibur or JR who are trying to add something to the match. It isn't the fault of the third man, it's just too much. Leave it to Excalibur providing the information and JR leading the way.

Oh yeah and he said 'Oriental' too. In fairness to JR on that one, Oriental is what's in the name of the promotion that CIMA is representing. If he'd used it in that context and that context alone, it'd be fine. What he said was "It seems like all Oriental wrestlers like to use head kicks", which is a pretty problematic-sounding statement.

The only issue I have is the camera work at times. Yeah, they missed a lot of shit at times. Like they missed the shove at the end of the women's 3 way... because they were too busy focusing on Nyla Rose not doing anything...

also everyone talking about the Dark Order made me look them up...
The f*** happened to the Super Smash Brothers? I remember Player Uno and Stupefied being really good ... granted that was like 10 years ago... but still..

BAD ON PURPOSE IS STILL BAD. If it's a joke on BTE ... that's great... but not everyone is watching BTE and it's played completely straight on the actual shows.

MJF is an in shape dude but for as much praise as his ‘heel work’ gets I just think the guy is creamed corn corny. It’s like a parody of a heel wrestler on a sitcom.

BR Live actually ran much smoother for me than most streaming services do. Picture quality was a little up and down early on admittedly but I really only had one drop and for the most part it ran just fine.

The only thing that I really picked up on as a negative for B/R Live was that it was several seconds behind the YouTube stream for the Buy In. Other than that, it worked fine for me with the occasional and brief drop in stream quality, but no interruptions.

I was texting 2 other people that were watching and neither of them caught it. My girlfriend heard it too so that's how I knew I didn't miss hear it. The other 2 commentators trying to clean the line up after was hilarious.

As everyone said the pre show with the exception of the tag match was terrible.
I've heard of the Super Smash Brothers but never seen them before so idk who is actually part of the Dark Order and who are their random flunkies.
MJF is supposed to be this uber douche heel that respects nobody or nothing... so wtf is he doing helping Cody???!!! I like MJF but hell no. You're a despicable heel that disrespected Bret Hart last month but you respect Cody enough to come to his aid? So now is MJF a face? Cause that was a total face move. Would Dibiase have ever come to Hogan's aid back in the day? NO! Cause he was a rich, douchebag, heel that didn't care about anything but his money! And that's what MJF is supposed to be!
As everyone else mentioned the chair shot was terrible but Darby's, Coffin Drop was incredibly stupid and reckless and if I never saw it again I'd be happy. That goes for all apron bumps that are shaken off and forgotten about 30 seconds later.
If the Mox match was lights out then why were the AEW logos on the entrance way lit up for the world to see? When the lights came back on the entrance way lights should have been turned off and possibly lower the house lights to give it a different feel.
Also the match was overkill. By the second bag of tacs my girl said, okay now they're doing too much, and I agreed. Janella can save all that shit for CZW. He's going to have to learn to work if he wants to be featured on a National level. You see how well doing stupid shit to yourself worked out for Abyss. (Yes I'm aware Abyss currently works for WWE)
JR's questionable commentary about Oriental's and happy endings, might have worked in Mid South in the 80's but it ain't gonna fly on TNT in 2019.
A lot of this might be nitpicky. I loved the show believe it or not. I'm a huge Elite fan and will continue to be. I'm confident they will work the bugs out.

Forgot one. Watching the Lucha Bros who I am a huge fan of have to sell a f'n fire ball just to pop the video game crowd was somewhat infuriating. If that happened in WWE fans would have had a aneurysm. So let's be fair here.

MJF constantly kisses up to Cody and tries to come across as a good guy in his eyes. That was even shown within that segment, where he was shoving other people away from Cody so he could be the main one attending to him.

I get that, I don't like it but I get it, but to a new viewer who I'm assuming is who they'd want to appeal to on their 1st free show isn't that confusing? The guy that was running down the crowd an hour before is now saving a good guy. So if I'm a first time viewer do I boo or cheer him next time? Since he appears to be a douche, but he's kind of a nice guy too. Going back to a WWE comparison if Corbin shits on the crowd during his segment then comes out to save Roman later in the show, do I boo or cheer Corbin next show?

So far at each show they have done someone bleeds, they do some sort of hardcore stuff, and they take a shot at WWE. I am hoping that they will back off this once they are running a weekly TV show. But these are things that it is going to be far too easy to go overboard on. Yeah, an occasional crack at WWE is no problem-but if TNA proved anything, it is that trying to spark another “war” is pointless. And while blood and hardcore can be useful for differentiating themselves from WWE, for the sake of the performer’s health AND the health of their tv deal, they need restrict this stuff to just big ticket events like capping off a major blood feud.
