So is David S Goyer.
Oh.
Hopefully Neil is able to ensure quality.

Goyer being involved makes my interest plummet, to be honest. It amazes me that this dude is still able to coast off Dark Knight with all the shit he's pumped out before and after it.

I only hope David S. Goyer is involved so Gaiman can personally slap the taste out of his mouth whenever he comes up with a stupid idea. But Gaiman being involved makes me otherwise give Goyer's involvement benefit of the doubt. He's done a really good job with his involvement with both American Gods and Good Omens' TV adaptations, and I don't think he'd let Goyer f*** up his magnum opus.

So...
This is a sign DC universe is being cut right?
One of DC's biggest properties being shopped to another streaming service.

With them ending the Vertigo imprint entirely, 'shrug'.

Hope it's a bit more faithful to the material than iZombie or Lucifer. Not asking for a straight page for page adaptation but nothing like Lucifer doing procedural cases with the police and charming various women.

The David Goyer thing lost me immediately. He'll be in charge of the day to day production stuff, so the show is just not going to work. I hate to say it, but it will. Dude is garbage.

So... This is a sign DC universe is being cut right? One of DC's biggest properties being shopped to another streaming service. It likely may be, but this sounds like it's going to be more like the Marvel Netflix shows dealy. DC Universe stuff is probably going to get rolled into this streaming platform WM is rumored to be developing, and I think it landed on Netflix more due to Goyer's deal with them. I still wish Joseph Gordon Levitt had been the one to pull this off. I don't think I would have bought him as Morpheus, but I would have loved to have seen what he could have come up with.

Thought this was going to be about the ECW Sandman. Realized I was in the wrong section. Got depressed.

I'm guessing Gaiman is trying to win a bar bet.

I can't wait for people to write to Amazon Prime trying to get it cancelled.
(But I'm intrigued, Sandman is so conceptual and played with through things like panel structure and word bubbles that I'm not sure how well it'll work on the small screen, but after multiple Gaiman series have ended up pretty good, it's probably the best time to give it a shot.)

I'd rather see the old Sandman with the trench coat and the gas mask.

Considering how little he actually had to do with the version of Dark Knight that made the screen, it's even more of a joke. Goyer wrote the first draft, which was essentially a loose adaptation of The Long Halloween. The Nolan brothers pretty much threw away 95% of Goyer's script, leaving him with a 'story by' co-credit.

If this was 1995 I would be sooo excited. But I am gonna wait and see it long after it comes out. Preacher has been fun, different than the comic, but fun. Lucifer was very different from the comic but I enjoy watching it. IZombie I need to read but like the show. Sandman.....I am mixed on the comic. And I am wondering how today's audience is going to react to some of the stuff the face on the wall tells Wanda during the A Game of You storyline.
Back then Gaiman caught some shit for that scene. But now it has the chance of really really offending people.
Anyways I will end up watching it cause late teens me was there as the Sandman comic was coming out and I enjoyed it back then. Nowadays I find the series to be a bit over-rated,for me about half of the issues are good to great and half is well it feels not needed and just a way for Neil to pad out the run.
Would love to see a tv version of Moore and Gaiman's run on Miracleman. To me that is both those guys magnum opus. Now if Gaiman can finish his story in it.
