I mean, we got a new season of The Mysterious City of Gold after, what, 30 years? Stranger things have happened in animation history.

...and he'll probably show Harley and Joker doing it on camera too.

I'd be interested in it but I don't really think much would be gained from it. While still pretty good, the show already kind of felt like they were fumbling around not sure what to do for parts of season 3 (not sure why this is saying fifth season when there wasn't a fourth) and in light of Epilogue I feel like there's not really more story that needs to be told with Terry unless you just straight up reboot it.
If anything I feel like a lot more could be gained from trying another season of BtAS. It feels a lot more timeless while Batman Beyond good as it is feels extremely of the time it was made. Plus there are all kinds of Batman villains who never really got a fair shake in the show or weren't really around at the right time for it - top of my head it'd be really cool to see BtAS versions of the Court of Owls and Hush. And there are original villains I want to see more of - in particular I really think it's a huge shame that the comics never migrated over Calendar Girl and Baby Doll, and that Roxy Rocket while she made the jump never amounted to much.
... Granted I don't really trust Bruce Timm enough these days to think trying to revive either one would actually turn out very good.

...and he'll probably show Harley and Joker doing it on camera too. That's a little too respectful of their personalities, modern Bruce Timm romances need to be particularly denigrating to the characters. I'd probably have 3 to 1 odds its Joker having sex with Terry's fiance Dana.

Didn't they already have a decent wrap up in a Justice League episode. We gotta let things stay in the past. I love Batman Beyond, but I rather some new comic book cartoon got a shot with some new blood at the helm.

Terry leaves Dana, bring back 10 and then we'll talk.

I kinda like where it left off. That, and if we're being honest, I've soured on a lot of Timm's later work. Not even just talking the movies, I think New Adventures and some of JLU is just below a lot of his earlier work, and the stuff that harmed my enjoyment of it got more pronounced with time.

I feel like New Adventures, while definitely a step down, isn't really enough of one that I'm willing to call it bad. There are some rough episodes in there - like top of my head, You Scratch My Back and Joker's Millions, those episodes suck - but Mean Seasons, Over the Edge, Ultimate Trill, Girls' Night Out, Mad Love, and Legends of the Dark Knight are pretty genuinely great and most of the others are pretty watchable. Like, it probably is good it didn't continue for another season since bad habits were definitely forming and they were clearly running low on ideas, but if I'm watching through the show again I'm definitely going to watch some season 4. And to be fair I dunno how much to hold You Scratch My Back and Cult of the Cat against them because throughout the entirety of BtAS I don't think there's a single Catwoman-focused episode that's any good. They never seemed to have a clear concept of the character.

They did and brought Phantasm into the animated universe officially...I mean mask of the phantasm was... but it seemed like a completely unconnected thing for the most part.

Yea, which also makes Joker origin of being a gangster also canon for the animated universe

No thanks. I think the "Epilogue" episode of JLU did it nicely, and Timm has clearly lost it as a contributor.

I remember doing kind of a double take when I was watching that episode and saw the Phantasm, just because the movie probably makes more sense if you take it as unconnected to the show.

They never seemed to have a clear concept of the character. Yeah, I am not calling it outright bad or anything, it just marked a directional shift I wasn't big on. Like, I feel like Bruce Wayne was a big casualty of that, and there was less and less distinction between him and Batman, which, I get that's a common thing for Batman adaptations, but it's fine and good being Vengeance, The Night, etc, but losing the compassion she showed Baby Doll or some of the other villains, outside of rarities like the Ace scene from late JLU, did make him less interesting to me.
