{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Seeing Lucifer again was amazing, and him being from Earth-666 was also a nice little joke. And Lex being such a petty dick was... well, perfect. Can we agree that Jon Cryer is a great Luthor? He's amazing. Kevin Smith actually called him the best live-action version of the character and only the DCAU version was better. Which is damn high praise.

I started watching it, episode behind. I'm honestly not crazy about it but I don't watch the CW shows, so I probably don't have the same level of investment.
My one takeaway - Brandon Routh is a WAY better Superman than Henry Cavill. Like worlds better. The fact that they didn't give him another chance to reprise the role (assuming he wanted it) was a mistake.

I think in 2006 Routh was a bit inexperienced as an actor, but in 2019 he is terrific in the role. The right amount of goofy and earnest, whereas before I found him too dour and serious (similar to Cavill actually).
I'm honestly a little baffled as to what exactly is going on here. As in what exactly is the deal with Oliver at this point? I would imagine that they will use The Book to now try and undo all of the damage done.

Yeah I’m not nuts about this crossover so far.
Earth X was way better and had tension to it. A lot of this doesn’t feel....meaningful.
Maybe Endgame ruined my expectations and I just expect everything to be undone and the status quo restored just like in that

Loving this crossover, probably my favorite thing the Arrowverse has done so far, Crisis part 3 is my favorite super hero episode ever, so frigging awesome. Being a DC fan boy probably has a lot to do with it though.

I still think it's Rosenbaum, Clancy Brown, then Cryer, mostly because Rosenbaum did such a great job of making Lex a sympathetic character, even when he was going full evil, but Cryer was an inspired bit of casting. I still love that he says that becoming Luthor was almost penance for being in Superman IV: The Quest For Peace.

Trying to make him an almost exact copy of the Chris Reeves Superman, but also he's become somewhat aloof and trying to find his humanity while also being surrounded by out of place humor in a lot of Luthor's bits (again, aping Donner's Superman) just didn't mix. Routh is definitely underrated as an actor, and I hope his time on Legends gets him more work. He deserves it.

Maybe Endgame ruined my expectations and I just expect everything to be undone and the status quo restored just like in that Considering what's been lost, it's almost a guarantee that everything is going to be undone. There just seems to be a lot of stuff going on... {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}...like Jim Corrigan just showing up in purgatory and saying "Nah, sorry, Ollie can't come back with you, he has to be The Spectre now, oh, and also, I'm the Spectre." I don't pay very close attention to everything going on with the Arrowverse, but is this the first time Jim Corrigan has been mentioned? It really comes out of nowhere, and just feels like an excuse to prevent Ollie from coming back.
Really, the entirety of Ollie's sacrifice and attempted revival just seems...underwhelming and still overstuffed. Like it's all tacked on, and doesn't feel like it's got a lot of weight to it. I felt more for JWS's Flash sacrificing himself and finding peace way more than I did with Arrow sacrificing himself.

The thing with Rosenbaum is that his character is such a different take on Lex compared to the regular comics version. He's great in the role, but Kevin was basing his opinion on how true to the original they were.
{Spoiler}It looks like they're making Oliver into the Arrowverse's incarnation of the Spectre.

Cryers lex is absoloutley fantastic I love how he has a comedic element to him...like when he took a curtsy bow after I believe The Monitor sort of..paid him a compliment lol just things like that that make Cryers lex alot of fun.
But as great as he has been he isn't even in the same league as Rosenbaums Lex.

So I’m caught up now and...I don’t know, disagree that there’s no stakes to it considering we don’t know what it’ll all mean for the Arrowverse going forward. {Spoiler} Like, will Earths be brought back or will they do like the comics and have it combine to one Earth?

I think I know where they are going with things when crisis ends but also one other thing for a certain character. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}The paragons are going to be the only ones who remember anything that happened.
And that there is going to be one earth...earth prime where all the DCTV heroes exsist together.
That newspaper Barry has been looking at , the one we have all been looking at it is going to come true because if u go and read that paper there are so many things in there that did not come true in this crisis...most notably the epic street battle between reverse flash and The Flash ....everyone can be sure of it now that that is gonna be how The Flash show ends its run....in 2024 like it originally said.

That’s a good way to keep Oliver around for cameos without entirely saying goodbye. And we get a last scene with him and Felicity.

It's utterly perfect and kind of funny when you think of the some of the conversations Ollie has with Hal when Hal was the Spectre. Kind of a role reversal, especially if Diggle becomes the Green Lantern lol

Putting everyone in the same universe makes the most sense, we've kinda evolved past the point where Supergirl needed to live in her own universe due to the weird CBS stuff, and every other major show is set on Earth 1 (with the exception of Black Lightning, but I have a feeling he will be folded into Earth 1 as well), so bringing her fully into the world without dimensional hopping seems likely. The only down side of this is that means we're going to lose the ability to see alternate universes, being able to see Harrison Wells alterates pop up, and we're losing a lot of great characters officially from Earth 2 and elsewhere. It's also going to put Legends Of Tomorrow in an interesting place storywise. Can you change time and history if there's only one Earth to affect, or does that still tangent off other worlds? And where does that leave Titans, a show that is officially recognized as being an alt world now (before it was destroyed in the Crisis, of course)?

Like how they went to what was it earth 76 and it was StarCity 2046...the same star city that they visited in legends season 1 but it clearly was not the same timeline even though it looks exactly like it.
Things like that is what I expect them to really play around with...and also they have opened up the anti-matter universe to eventually be explored...they alightly did this with the tease on Black Lightning with one of Black Lightnings daughters basically seeing the positive and anti matter versions of herself fighting each other so I think we are gonna see alot of things like that going forward.
For Titans they can just say ...it was the titans of this universe that got erased but not the actual Titans etc.

{Spoiler} I was honestly amazed so many people were hyped for the Ward and Wuhl cameos there since it was basically saying the 1966 and 1989 Batman universes have now been totally destroyed. I was kind of offended by it. Or that for all intents and purposes Kate Kane is now the Earth 1 (as in real earth) version of the Bat character.
I had no idea who this Corrigan guy was, so Oliver becoming The Spectre is utterly baffling. I looked up the character and did recognize the look but the guy last night hardly looked like that.

The news paper that reads Batman captures Joker....the same one that fell who knows how many stories to his pretty obvious death
Or that the Bat Signal was BatGirls symbol and not Michael Keatons Batman.
