How did they not announce Fantastic 4 as the official last movie of Phase 4 of the MCU? Announce it for early 2022. It made so much sense!! Probably because they want to have all things squared away before they put a time table on it which I don't blame them for Phase 4 is def out their and will be different and I wouldn't be surprised to see a F4 cameo in a movie before they get their own but they seem to be making calculated moves and right now everything is set up for Phase 4 in 2020/2021

I've seen someone suggest that they should do a period Fantastic Four, set in the 1960s, and I realised that's just about the only thing about this that could excite me. I've never cared about the Fantastic Four, and actively dislike Reed Richards as a character, and with the track record F4 movies have, it's incredibly hard to see this news as a good thing. But I'm happy to just ignore MCU movies that don't float my boat. I never saw Doctor Strange, and won't see the sequel either. And I probably won't watch the Blade reboot (not a fan of that character either). I never watched the original Blade movies because I detest vampire movies. I will watch the MCU Blade simply because the MCU hasn't gotten one wrong, for me yet.

So excited for this for sure But am I the only one that actually...kinda liked the first 2005 film? It's not a great film or anything but Evans and Chiklis were damn entertaing together and it had some fun action parts. The rest were pretty trash though I watched it for the first time about a year or so ago. I didn't think it was nearly as bad as people made it out to be, but it wasn't great. Still haven't watched the sequel yet.

That’s how shitty movies get made, trying to rush things out.

I think they did a really good job with the character, and the scene where he appears in New York is genuinely good. Chris Evans was good as Johnny Storm, but the other three were poorly cast and lacking in charisma.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Doom Regardless, MCU needs to be smart about introducing Dr. Doom. I think Victor Von Doom should briefly appear in the first movie, but become Dr. Doom in the second. Too much of the movie would be devoted to the team's origin and that wouldn't do Doom any favors. He needs a slow burn, like Thanos. I would have him be the post credits Teaser. I've said it before... shot of a TV newscast talking about the Fantastic Four and how they are headed by the Smartest man on the Planet Reed Richards... then have a metal guantlet slam down on the table. then again I generally like the idea of saving the super arch rival villain for the second movie... especially when you need as much build up for their background.

Antman didnt have the stench of the past F4 movies. Or the reputation of been lame dorks, and came at arguably the peak of MCU. Will phase 4 keep it up with two of the most popular characters done, the Thanos arc wrapped up? Probably, but the MCU bubble is gonna burst at some point and F4 is the most likely flop. X-Men wont, theyre cool and most X movies were good. Maybe half the X movies are widely considered good, with the last one being a complete box office failure and the one before that not much better. Also, the stench of Amazing Spider-Man 2 didn't hurt Homecoming in the slightest. I'm honestly not sure where this "flop" idea is coming from. This studio has built a dedicated global audience who just want to come along for the ride, and they've almost always cast super charismatic leads to carry the films. At worst it makes $350 million domestic. At worst. People have been claiming "this movie is going to be marvel's big failure!" since Guardians of the Galaxy... then Ant-man... then Doctor Strange... then Captain Marvel..

I think you introduce Doom in Dr.Strange post credits. Since he knows magic and Dr Strange is pretty much the only magic user in the MCU right now.

Considering how much we're getting of Cosmic Marvel, I wouldn't be surprised if the MCU F4 movie was the one that introduced Galactus.
And like the F4 themselves, I doubt Disney and Feige would let the previous F4 movies influence when they want to introduce Dr. Doom to the MCU. Especially since the previous incarnations of Movie Dr. Doom were awful and nothing like what makes the character interesting as Richards' foil.
