Without question he just opened the door wide open for himself in other roles. For one, that's some Christiain Bale type dedication to switch your whole body up for one role and the fact that he can do that opens the door I can see him being like Chris Hemsworth where if you can maintain your body to be 60% of that you're good and getting booked in action comedy roles Who knows if he wants to maintain this tho Bale’s absolutely insane, bordering on unhealthy on all that he’s done but the Hemsworth comparison is a good one. Like imagine him in Stuber but like this hahaha. It’ll be interesting to see if he maintains it but either way bravo to the guy Yea, Bale said he's not doing that anymore and I don't blame him. His weight in the Machinist is borderline insane and he wanted to lose more weight The first thing I thought of was a Stuber 2 and Batista making him work out all the time for dating his daughter

Reading and hearing about the actors diet and workout plans border the lines of starving the body. Hugh Jackman was asked "What do you do after you finish filming Wolverine?" He responded "Eat a big bowl of cereal."

A can of tuna and an apple a day IIRC. Very unhealthy. And mentioned the weight was difficult to lose after his Dick Cheney portrayal.

Chris Pratt occasionally posts diet vlogs when he's cutting weight for a movie, and while they're generally pretty funny he's admitted they're practically coping mechanisms to help distract him from how miserable the whole process is.

Although it's not too surprising given how unhealthy he looked throughout the ordeal. On one hand there is a level of pure admiration towards them when it comes to their diet. Yet, on the other hand, just attempting to replicate those specific results with the diet in place is absolutely dangerous. Hugh Jackman even said that maintaining that Wolverine body is ridiculous and not easy. I remember a lot of fans gave Jason Momoa grief because after Justice League and Aquaman, he obviously indulged himself and didn't keep the ripped chiseled body type he was known for.

Another thing that helps is having money too. They're able to afford nutritionists, personal trainers, and the necessary foods to help them maintain or continue towards the goal they're progressing towards.

Kumaill said he was able to get that way thanks to the studio basically getting him some of the best people in the world and obviously him being on that diet for a year

Victims of starvation have to essentially continue starving during the recovery process, just starving a little less each day. It's not uncommon for people who have been starved to die of cardiac arrest because they've eaten too much too quickly.

Granted she wasn't up for an acting role or anything. But she starved herself to the point to where eventually her body gave out. Especially when she'd put the weight back on, lose it, back on, a doctor made the statement that the body isn't able to handle that type of abuse before the heart just gives out completely.

Yea you can't just cram your body with food after going through something extreme like that. It shocks your body and it is not used to it Hell, I only did something minimal to that extent. I did fruits and water for a week and decided to say f*** it and eat Shrimp and Broccoli from the Chinese Rest. It had me f***ed up for like 2 days

Oh for sure, but seeing Pratt post videos of his 250-calorie "meals" is painful. Still, Hollywood has definitely improved from the days when Judy Garland was put on a diet of soup, lettuce, and cigarettes to make sure she didn't get fat while filming Wizard of Oz.

I tried Henry Cavill's and Ben Affleck's workout/diet at one point. Didn't last a week.

Okay, that's hyperbole, but I sure as shit wouldn't be able to stick with that longer than a few days.

Makes me admire Hemsworth, in both pushing for chunky Thor in Endgame but also insisting that he remain only-slightly-less-chunky by the end.
It's likely better for his health, as these superhero physiques really are more comic book than long-term human being good ideas, but also for trying to push that not every hero has to look like one of those old He-Man toys with the same ripped body for everyone with just different heads. Along with it simply working better for the character to not just erase everything by the end of the flick. I hope Thor stays chunky, it'd be refreshing.

Also Salma Hayek’s reacting to recent transformation lol:
