Carl and Beth were supposed to be te future of the show and both of them went out saving people that had almost no point or development in the actual story in the end. It really pisses me off. If the characters they sacraficed themselves for actually did some important shit then I wouldn't care as much but in the end they were useless. Noah especially who not only got Beth killed but Tyresse too! God damn I know this show needs death and a revolving character door but the way they went out was so terrible, especially in hindsight now. Beth I was fine with. She never felt like she would stick around forever but Carl yeah that pissed me off because this was his story arc If you read the comic everyone knows, this is when Carl basically becomes the man and takes over the story after his development with Negan which also gets cut short. Beth death did serve a purpose and was a genuine shocker but Carl, that was literally just to kill someone Chandler knew this was Carl moment and said he even purchased a house down in ATL and was going to hold off school for a little while. I still feel his death is what really f***ed everything over. Abe and Glenn time was up and while dark it served a purpose. Carl was the future if they ever decided to kill Rick. Now, there is no Rick, you killed off Jesus, Maggie is gone and Michonne is leaving. Maggie is confirmed to be back cause Whiskey Cavalier flopped, but yeah Michonne leaving hurts too. Judith is not enough and RJ is just a prop. Daryl, Carol, and Negan are basically the pillars of the show now, everyone else really feels like they haven't been developed enough to be in THAT group of the show where they're the figureheads, the veterans. There are a couple who are decent in that regard like Eugene, Ezekial and Gabriel, but none of them have the aura of a Negan or the staying power of a Daryl/Carol.

Yea, even with how much charisma Negan has, idk if the public really truly great over his actions. The comic he was able to make a smooth transition and I think the TV show as well has done a good job but not having Rick to spare off of or Carl hurts him a bit. Norman is not going anywhere as Daryl but in the back of my head I think Melissa could leave considering they are just spinning their wheels with Carol In regards to Maggie: {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} Yea if you believe the rumors she has been spotted filming stuff. The TV show falling down the tank helped them bring back Lauren and in the end it works out better for her because she still somewhat becomes the lead of this with Michonne gone

I wouldn't agree that Siddiq hasn't had development, his PTSD has been one of the bigger sub plots of the season, bit of a shame we don't get to see him work through it.

Well, I found the mid-Season Finale to be underwhelming.

That’s probably less scary than being trapped in a cave with Juanita Suarez

The Commonwealth arc wasn't the most exciting and you are missing damn near all the key players in the arc Maybe Maggie can play the role of Rick but it wouldn't feel the same

welp they found the hoard ..... and a very good mid season ending too, with the end to the siddiq/dante story in quite the tomato sauce way, with gabriel going stabby stabby WITH RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE and REVEEEEEEEEEEEEEENGE all over dante's face poor rosita, she needed a bit of time out there and asked those nice zombies to give it to her, unlike eugene like mother like little badass who you DO NOT run away from their eyes meet across a field ..... they want to murder each other sooooooo badly!!! that last scene going into the cave ..... and we'll see you at the end of february when it all begins again ..... in the dark apparently .....

ooh that's interesting ..... the timing from the start of LINES WE CROSS of carol returning by boat, and michonne leaving on virgil's boat from the end of THE WORLD BEFORE? dare i say a little mirroring in that? or am i just barking up the wrong fallen tree eh?

I saved the episodes and binged them all earlier this week. I mean the season wasn’t bad, but nothing actually happened that moved the story forward until the last episode so rather inconsequential the season so far has been when you think about it
Also no real interesting characters as leaders I think (I include Darryl in that) They should just make Negan the guy in charge. He’s turned face but still justifies what he did as leader of the saviours so him as a leader going forward could be interesting. Plus you then have Rick show up going “What the hell guys?!”
Or actually make an interesting spin off and have a Negan/Beta buddy road trip one
Edit: Also only 4 pages for a walking dead season....Ouch

The first half of Season 10 was okay, but aside from Siddiq's death there wasn't much happening.

Man, Chandler was done so wrong. Would've loved to have seen him as the leader of Alexandria if Rick had been killed off at some point.
