More often than not yes. I do have some obsessive tendencies, so I have to keep aware of myself. But I like having varied interests, and an ability to jump between them on a whim.
Plus I also believe that it makes me a more interesting person.

I don’t see any thing wrong with being a big fan of something in principle so long as they aren’t rude, nasty or totally intolerant when it comes to their attitude. There’s some characters I ship in certain properties, but arguing about it with others is pointless IMO.
Same with those who have different takes on the direction of a series. Often a thing will become popular over time and different writers will get involved. That’s why stuff like Batman, Star Wars and Spider-Man are often tonally different over the decades between different adaptations, and they usually will appeal to different types of fans with their own tastes. Not the most pressing excuses for a flame war.
The key is for all us unique geeks to learn to co-exist, basically.

That's pretty much what I am for everything these days. Or at the very least not super duper obsessive.
I tend to get more annoyed with the gatekeepers than the obsessives but they can overlap...

I try to enjoy stuff at my own pace and accumulate more knowledge if I find it worthwhile.
Gatekeeping in any form, on any level, through any walk of life is intimidating and harmful. Especially with entertainment. I say let people enjoy things at a level they are comfortable with.

I just try to have fun with what I like or am interested in. It's all supposed to be fun and help take your mind off of serious stuff. So why take it so seriously? Just relax and enjoy.
