What do you like to read? Hell if I know. Something a little off the beaten path.

On a related note, Project Gutenberg has tons of free books that are all in the Public Domain that you can download for those looking for any specific titles. www.gutenberg.org

Candide by Voltaire
The Decameron of Giovanni Boccaccio
The Canterbury Tales
Beowulf
Sir Gawain and the Green Knight
Basically anything by HG Wells or Sir Arthur Conan Doyle or Mark Twain

The Jungle Book, as long as you're willing to overlook some of Kipling's 'colonial' attitudes.
Definitely anything by Mark Twain, but particularly The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

Frankenstein, Don Quixote, The Time Machine, Moby Dick, Les Miserables, anything by Charles Dickens, HP Lovecraft should in fact be in the public domain, The Tower of the Elephant by Robert E Howard & 1984 are all worth a read.

I'll second Don Quixote. There are lines where they really show it was written several centuries ago and the first part really overdoes it with the secondary plotlines, but it's overall a really good read with some quite philosophical moments.

Check the Australian Project Guttenberg they have all toe REH Conan the Barbarian stories. Plus the only story with REH's version of Red Sonja.
They are cheesy and kids books but the Tom Swift series is a fun read. I loved the Tom Swift Jr books when I read them as a kid.
