There were multiple brackets in the polls. Warhorse won one of them. EDIT: Looks like I may have been wrong about that. Yeah, it was tournament that WARHORSE won. The devs have stated they would be open to DLC featuring other wrestlers in the tournament if the game sells well. I think the other division winners were Gentlemen Jervis, Matt Cross, and Chris Bey, so those would be the most likely DLC if they go that route. As a fan of WhatCulture I was hoping for Simon "Here's why" Miller

Pre-orders for Switch/Steam versions are now open. Game is aiming for a July release (Bleh, I thought it was Q1) twitter.com/RetrosoftStudio/status/1231359804167335936Yeah, it was tournament that WARHORSE won. I wouldn't blame them for sticking Miller in anyway for that reason. Maybe Sterdust to get Jim Sterling talking about it. Brian Zane as a NPC manager...

Does anyone else feel like this is more of a spiritual successor to WWF Superstars than it is to WrestleFest? The presentation is much much closer to Superstars with the smaller sprites and zoomed out display. Also it sucks that it is missing the ref.

I've never seen a wrestling game with such a unique environment.

PAX East previews are hard to come by:
& it is really not a good sign that the Roadwarriors are still the only 2 we ever see in action.

Racistmania. Wonder if Hogan's going to be in to confirm that? 2 Cold Scorpio or Suge D being in would have been great.

Thinker: we're under 2 months left to go until the game's release & there's still 2 guys left to reveal. I'm betting it'll be a tag team since we really only have Roadwarriors & BWO so far. Pro Wrestling Tees' Ryan Barkan appears as an NPC in story mode. Complete with warehouse stage.

Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins are the newest characters.
This roster is all over the place.

Can't fault this game for lacking in presentation and variety

They said on Twitter this was a last minute thing, the roster initially had 15 wrestlers but now the original 15th will be released post-launch.

This game has already worn out its nostalgic welcome in my mind.
If the game, with its Ten Pounds of gold mode, Aldis, and the Georgia studio had launched with the debut of NWA Powerrr it could have rode the synergy wave. But that ship has sailed.
It looks like the gameplay will be very limited wrestling wise, and a 15 deep Roster with no Create a Wrestler mode is atrocious in 2020.
I know alot of hard work is going into the game, but it all looks so underwhelming to me.

I guess my thing with this game is that it’s identity is confusing.
Ok it’s a retro wrestlefest throwback. Cool. But then the roster has Zack Sabre Jr and Curt Hawkins jumbled in with the Road Warriors and the bWo of all things.
It’s all over the place thematically. I get that they’re signing whoever they can but I wish there was even alittle consistency

I get what youre saying about NWA, what I was more trying to say was echoed by the post above your’s; this game has no identity. Being retro is not enough of a selling point. This game is about to just exist for no purpose. They have enough NWA content in there that its at least something they could have used as an angle ro market. And as for Create a Wrestler, “might” translates to “hey, if people actually play this game and we don’t lose our shirts in the process, we’ll have enough money to develop further” Doesn’t fly with me.
