Damn good match, United looked deadly on the attack but Saints just looked better for the majority of the game. Yes, there was a difference in quality visible but with a couple of good signings - who knows? I think United fielding an unchanged side for the fourth game in 13 days wasn't the best decision. They looked a little tired and sat back far too much. Still, I'm pretty confident United will finish third. Chelsea will drop points against Liverpool and possibly Wolves, and Leicester have two tough games against Sheffield United and Tottenham before playing us on the final day. I won't write off Palace or West Ham, but they're absolutely winnable games for United.

Palace isn’t gonna roll over and West Ham isn’t safe yet, so they’re going to be tough matches and as poorly as Leicester has played lately, they’re still a quality side. But win out and you’re in. Job hasn’t changed and I think United still feels confident.

Akinfenwa is such a character. Good luck to him, Gareth Ainsworth and Wycombe Wanderers for next season.
That Obafemi goal could prove huge in the Champions League race. No doubt Leicester & Chelsea fans cheered that goal hard. Hopefully Southampton can build on their good 2nd half of the season and get a top half place next year.

This man is an absolute icon of English football. Never been an easy road for the big man, but he's proven himself time and time again. Great to see. And Klopp did hit him up!

Apparently the entire Hull side have spontaneously had a collective stroke.

Apparently the entire Hull side have spontaneously had a collective stroke. I just checked the scores and let out a totally involuntary "What the f***?!" Wigan could very easily hit double figures.

Insane result at Wigan.
Wigan have been completely f***ed over by their owners it seems so hoping they stay up. But the 12 point deduction is coming regardless whether it’s this season or next.
And good to see Klopp sent Akinfenwa a message!

Akinfenwa is a delight.
As for Hull, I can only rationalise that they were playing the Wigan rugby team.

I don't care if it means nothing to where we end up at the end of the season or even in the scale of anything ever but considering the seasons we've had, being able to say we got a win over the now Premier League champions...we Arsenal fans need a bit of joy so thanks!

Man City can breathe a sigh of relief safe in the knowledge that their record for most points scored in a Premier League season cannot be matched or beaten.

Man City can breathe a sigh of relief safe in the knowledge that their record for most points scored in a Premier League season cannot be matched or beaten. It’s easy to say in hindsight but I never thought they would. When you win the league with that much to spare, you are going to play with less hunger for the remaining games, no matter what type of spin Klopp wants to put on it. Not deliberately taking anything away from Arsenal tonight or any other team Liverpool has played since the title was confirmed but it is a factor in the points total. Besides, having a huge points total meant jack shit last year for us. It’s almost poetic if we finish with a lower total and win it all.

I should be happy Arsenal beat the league Champions. But I’m not really. The victory felt a bit hollow. Liverpool would never have lost if they actually needed to win. Maybe I’m being a bit negative I don’t know but this result is insanely frustrating and also too little too late.
If it does give Arsenal inspiration to beat Man City and go on to win the FA Cup then it will be worth it.
