Great start to the new era with an excellent main event. Maclin vs. Nemeth should be a very interesting matchup

HOLY S&%#! HOLY S&%#! What an episode. Hadn't heard an Impact crowd like that since the heyday of the Impact Zone. First time seeing the new set and production and Yeah, it was worth it. Looked fabulous. Kicked ass from the start with that wild six man match. Great tag t4eam match with a great swerve. Can't wait to see and hear from Heel Kazarian. A lot of good promos and backstage segments. Jordynne/Trinity, The Systems celebratory dinner, MCMGs promo, Gisele and Gail, the late 80s Ash by Elegance perfume ad, sorry video. 2024 and Joe Hendry's still got it. Cheez-It Champ. Loved the video.
Bad idea of the night - Jai "With an I"'s open challenge.
Line of the night - "All they're going to ask is, what the hell ever happened to Dolph Ziggler?" Good grief Maclin killed with that.
Promo of the night - Obviously it's Scotts. Dropping D-bombs, looking like we was about to burst he was so into it. Raw emotion and love for the sport and TNA.
Runner up promo of the night - Will Ospreay's backstage promo with Gia. Great setup for the match and the conclusion of it.
Match of the Year, I mean night - Obviously the main event. Words can't describe it. Just amazing from both The Walking Weapon and Ospreay. What made it best was the respect at the end between both of them.

Man hopefully researchers in the medical field figure out a way to reduce all the acl tears females are getting. Its crazy how it's affecting them in all sorts of physical activities.

Given that he just gave Okada/Ospreay and Shingo/Moxley five stars…if this gets a formal rating it looks like we might have the third fiver in TNA history.

ACL tears suck. Hoping for a speedy recovery for KiLynn.

{Spoiler}Spoilers from the 1/20 taping are indicating that one Simon Gotch has somehow managed to luck himself into some kind of feud with Josh Alexander. Gotch is back teaming with Matt Rehwoldt elsewhere, a Vaudevillains run in the tag division prob'ly would've been better.

{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}In fairness to Gotch, while he is full of himself, he did have good runs in both MLW and NOAH in recent years

Alexander needed something to do…a feud he would win to keep him going while Time Splitters and friends feud with Moose and the System. This is one of the things about having major PPVs spaced a part. Josh is coming off of the big win over Ospreay but you aren’t putting him in the title picture for at least the next two months of TNA plus specials. He needs matches he can keep winning until it’s time for his next shot. Maclin would have made sense as a feud but they paired him with Nemeth for his first big program. It’s an interesting thing really. Building multiple babyface contenders but you won’t be putting either of them in title matches until one of the big 4 shows. Moose has plenty on his plate until then since Shelley, Sabin, KUSHIDA and Knight are all joined up against the System. Which is a fun feud too. But it seems like they need a 4th guy eventually.
I’m honestly a little surprised it isn’t Hammerstone continuing on. He had a great showing at the PPV…there was definitely more there and he seems to want the job. Then again…you’d have to sign him and have him lose his first feud so that doesn’t really work great either. If you’re bringing him in I’d either start having him squash the lowest end guys or make him the 4th in the System. Slow build to a Moose/Hammerstone showdown down the line. That stuff always works. But it’s a moot point since Hammerstone hasn’t worked any of the post PPV tapings.

So I just got around to watching Ospreay v Alexander II. Holy f***ing f***!!! That match was great, I really wish I had gone in blind but that was still an unbelievable match.

Yeah, there's been some bits and pieces of LOLTNA leaking back in, like the random-ass bit with Kazarian turning on EY. When I first read that in the spoilers, I thought he'd be put with the System, invalidating the dog's age-length feud he had with Edwards ala Angle/Jarrett in Immortal. Hopefully that's not the case.

Kazarian’s turn has been inevitable since Shelley won the title. He left AEW to (in storyline) have one last run and try to win the world title. He (in reality and storyline) made the decision to return full time after his title match with Josh Alexander. A year later he has gotten no closer, was losing a lot of matches, and watched his friend get there first. The month(s) off make it feel more out of nowhere than it was. He was losing constantly at the same time Shelley and Sabin were thriving. It was always coming.
