Let's list examples of fights in movies, comics or whatever where one of the fighters should have barely, if any, chance of winning but somehow wins anyway even though it makes no sense. Examples: Spider-Man singlehandedly defeating Firelord in a fist-fight, or Tim Drake defeating Cassandra Cain on the grounds that him 'Not using any fighting style' somehow made it impossible for her to read his movements. I'd probably also include Harry defeating Voldemort; not even necessarily for the fight itself, but more for the ridiculously convoluted string of events that had to fall perfectly into place for the fight to end how it did in the first place. First, I would swear that the Firelord fight had Spiderman fighting him in the Symbiote. If that is right, he didn't beat him alone. If not (for reasons I do not recall Spidey did use a black suit after he ditched the Symbiote), then it was more of a case that Firelord dropped his guard in his arrogance. As far as Harry goes, there were two things working for him. First, Voldy kept weakening himself in his bid for immortality. Second, Voldemort himself is largely to blame for his own defeat. I would not be surprised if Voldemort was not subconsciously making things he feared happening happen. After all, until the end Harry had a piece of Voldemort attached to him. Maybe that detached piece of Voldemort acted to aid Harry in his quest, considering that Voldemort was apparently not aware of the true nature of their connection, so maybe if he was not truly exerting any of his own will upon it, the only will that affected it was Harry's. After all, the prophesy did say that the dark lord would mark the boy as his equal. What better way to do that than to literally lend him power to make it more even?

All the Marvel women showing up at the same time to work together in Infinity War, in the midst of this big battle. Was it a cool visual? Yeah, sure. Did it absolutely take me out of the movie because it was so stilted and contrived? Also yes. Yeah, that was incredibly awkwardly out of place because at no time in any of the MCU movies have women been treated as second class citizens. They’ve always been treated important, even those who are usually just civilians like Pepper and Jane Foster. Pepper helped take down Stane in the first MCU film even. Was vital for the defeat of Hammer too from what I remember. Hope has always been shown to be more competent then Scott, same with Gamora and Quill, all of Captain Marvel, Widow’s a badass and the women of Wakanda all kick serious ass. It was such a weird moment.

In the Spidey-Firelord fight Firelord says he could wipe Spider-man anytime just by atomizing everything within miles, but he doesn't want to murder a bunch of innocent people.
In another part of their running battle. At one point Spider-man tries to have Firelord crash into an oncoming subway train, but Firelord prevents it by melting his way through the cars and spending energy so no passengers get killed.

Lucius Malfoy trying to literally murder 12 year old Harry Potter outside Dumbledore's office, after Dobby got his freedom.

Half of the fights in the Rocky movies would've been stopped early by most refs.
