Seeing a thread on the best winners of king of the ring reminded me that my very first live event was the kotr that Owen Hart won. Being a younger brother myself I was so happy for Owen to show his older brother that he was just as good. 123 kid in that same tournament is a close second for capturing my imagination and ma making me a lifelong fan. Now i was a Hulkamamiac when I little and loved watching the show's with my brother but going live and watching Owen and kid do there thing cemented my fandom. What moment or what wrestler did this for you Mods I meant for this to be in rest od wrestling if you could move it please.

Randy Savage did it for me. He was quick like a cat. His elbow drop was spectacular. He looked cool in the shades and the capes. His voice made him stand out from the rest. I was always glued to his promos. His feud with Ricky Steamboat made me a fan.

I’m going with two: Randy Savage and The Ultimate Warrior. I loved the bright, crazy, neon designs on their ring gear; it looked like something from the future or a Saturday-morning cartoon.

Triple H I think?
I started watching in late 1999 and he was the coolest guy on the shows. Evil dude who looked cool and got the pretty rich girl. He was great.

Me and my grandpa watching WCW Saturday Nights a lot growing up but the first match I can remember hooking me was a Eddie vs Chavo match weirdly enough. Eddie was the despicable heel, beating down his nephew. Drew me in and hooked me somehow

I became a fan of wrestling because of Brooke Hogan's father.

Sting, man.
I'd seen a little of WWF around '91, so recognised a handful of the main guys like Hogan, Savage, Taker and so on. Really liked Warrior. But I hadn't seen any of them actually in the ring, just pictures and descriptions.
Actually seeing a pro wrestling show first in '93, it was Sting. There was a superhero, there was a never-give-up white meat babyface, an absolute bundle of energy and enthusiasm.
And with a big evil monster in Vader all ready in place, too.

Can't quite remember who got me hooked but if I remember correctly he offered to backstroke me to safety one time....brother.
Hogan and Warrior got me into wrestling but I'd say Bret and Shawn cemented it for me.

Sting was mine too, but the late nineties Crow version. I didn't get to watch WWF regularly until about 2000 so I was mostly a WCW fan until that point. There was something very identifiable for me about a darker, brooding hero character, and I loved the big power moves he had, plus he just looked so cool with the facepaint.

Warrior.
My two favourite wrestlers are Bret and Warrior. IMO, between them there is everything that's great about wrestling.

Hulk Hogan and his pre-match promos getting me pumped up and wanting to see him destroy whichever heel he was wrestling.
