I'll always love that for the first match on one of their biggest shows ever, they decided on a match that had only been done twice with fairly iffy results that was inherently miserable to film cause it was WHOLE ASS BRIGHT RED. Let's not tell Homicide how to climb out either, it'll be funny when Jeff has to make his debut by headbopping to his own song. It's not that Homicide didn't know how to climb out, it's that he COULDN'T. Dude has been wearing shoulder tape for as long as I've seen him on TV. He isn't ever going to be climbing the Terror Dome, ever. They probably didn't even tell him what he was doing until within an hour of bell time, I'm guessing. No, he knew he was going to be climbing it. Frankie Kazarian offered to show him how to climb it before the show and was turned down.

The entire Dungeon of Doom saga from start to finish. "There are no Hulkamaniacs HERE!" should have automatically disqualified the Huckster from any acting role going forward.

Twenty years ago I lost it when Jeff Jarrett laid out Moolah with his guitar. The impact and sell really popped me for whatever reason. youtu.be/40fYy_WRDLsIn hindsight, this is somehow less disturbing.

Looking back on it, I was never a big fan of men being violent towards women and I couldnāt believe they went there, especially with Moolah being as old as she was. The hit and her flop did look hilarious though. Iād also already heard the rumors about Moolah back then. That didnāt really make a difference in this situation. It was the the impact, the sell and the audacity of the spot that got me. In contrast, Bully Ray superbombing Mae Young through a table was horrifying to me. I thought she had to be injured from that. I was genuinely concerned.

It was still scary because she was nearly 80, but Bubba did everything he could and it worked.. Now, that is unlike the Dixie Carter Powerbomb spot, where she took all the impact on her back and not too surprisingly broke her back.

Not only that, but I think I recall a story where May Young heard Bubba was having doubts about the spot and basically berated him over it.

Let's not tell Homicide how to climb out either, it'll be funny when Jeff has to make his debut by headbopping to his own song. Didn't the match end in a DQ, too? Because that's a totally not stupid way to end a cage match of any description. I recall my brother walking in right when Homicide was hanging upside down, stuck. He wasn't a wrestling fan, then or now, and he just stared at the screen in stunned silence. Ended in a No Contest and received a salvo of poorly censored "Bullshit" chants. TNA always knew how to make a great first impression, didn't they? Russo later went on record as defending the damn thing, asking "Why can't a cage match end in a No Contest?" Because it's a f***ing cage match, dummy (yeah!).

Actually I had a Lawler/Savage Memphis cage match on tape that did in fact have a Jos LeDuc run in for a DQ, so it can happen.
As far as something hilarious though? Hard to beat Scott Steiner's slip off the apron as he was going to deliver a blow to Test. I think it was from Bad Blood 2003. I still remember everyone in the room burst out laughing. Anyone got a clip of it?

I was in tears laughing at this when it happened. Just as I was about to stop....they showed a replay of it and it all started again

Anyone got a clip of it? Second clip in this video! When my dad took me to my first WWF live event in 1992, we heard this guy in the audience scream out, āPERFECT YOU MEATHEAD, PUT THAT SIGN DOWN! WE CANāT GET ANY PICTURES UP HERE!ā 27 years later and it still cracks me up. For some reason, Maxx Payne shooting the Badd Blaster in Johnny B. Baddās face cracked me up as a kid. Especially when Payne said, āconsider it returned, Badd!ā immediately after.

They probably didn't even tell him what he was doing until within an hour of bell time, I'm guessing. That's why TNA always came off as "indy" to me. I'm sure they didn't tell him what he would be doing until right before and that is typical of many indy promotion's that I've been to. I remember watching the cage match at the time and just shaking my head.
