FIRST AND FOREMOST, I want to say that this isn't a dig at AEW, nor is it an "old man yelling at cloud" rant against modern wrestling. I feel this is a serious question about the future of AEW. Right now, AEW has put together some highly-regarded PPV shows, and the future does look bright for the company. However, once the company starts producing a weekly show, the company will settle into a certain groove, a style for the show, a particular way of presenting wrestling to the audience... and it's not going to please everyone on the roster. On the Wiki page, there's 38 male wrestlers on the roster. Is the company going to give everyone the same amount of airtime? Once the company settles on a booker/booking team/writer/writing team for the show, some wrestlers are going to be pushed and some aren't. You can't please everyone, and those who aren't pleased can leave. Of course, that's not the only reason a wrestler could leave. One could get a better offer from the WWE, decide to follow a dream and wrestle in Japan, just quit because of the schedule, or injuries, or 'spend time with the family', etc.. So, I put the question out there: who do you see leaving AEW first? Jericho or Moxley, getting a batter payday from the WWE? One of the more indy-based wrestlers like Allin or Janela, who don't want to 'tone down' their style for TV? Everyone's been saying Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus are the 'next big thing'... would they jump ship for money? Maybe even Cody? It's his baby but will he break under pressure from investors and TV production concerns? Who leaves first? (I didn't do this as a poll because I figured this would work better as a discussion) To say anybody lives for money is kind of a joke being the AEW is paying the same amount if not more. Why you think Jericho signed instead of going back to the WWE that he said he had the chance. Why would Moxley go back after how unhappy he was, he was making great money already and still likely is getting paid very well.

As long as AEW is paying well, I honestly don't see any of them wanting to leave there. They stand a better chance of being prominently featured and also paid well in AEW than they would going to WWE and getting a $500 per week NXT deal and maybe, maybe not being featured on television in a significant way. Enough of the AEW guys have friends in the WWE system that they know what it's like. They could end up not on television at all, and just being paid to work out at the Performance Center everyday.

Despite how he's kind of been working the fanbase with anti-wwe rehtoric, and portraying himself as public enemy number one, I think Jericho still would want to end his career with WWE.

What's your reasoning? I mean, he already left WWE once.

Guevara gave an interview a few months ago that basically said that WWE's bloated roster and his not having enough star value are the reasons why he doesn't want to sign with WWE even if offered. He doesn't want to get lost in the flood. So if he ever gets over as a big star in AEW, that'd make it more likely he'd jump over to WWE as he'd do so with more bargaining power and more people likely within WWE having his back. It makes sense from a business standpoint, especially if money isn't your entire endgame.

In a complete swerve, it's going to be Cody and the Bucks. They'll debut on Raw in a surprise run-in, then spend 25 minutes cutting a promo about how they completely fooled the other guys and left them without a leader, a perfect storm to take down this new competition. They'll also introduce their new co-managers, Vince Russo and Jim Cornette.

Most likely younger talent who aren't getting utilized. It's a very low risk move in order to make a name for themselves. Being younger provides the wwe the chance to mold them into what the company wants. Older talent not so much. If someone like Chris Daniels or Kaz were to suddenly find himself not being used on screen much in Aew, it really wouldn't help them much to jump over to the wwe. Aew already provides them a comfy spot of receiving a pay check. Older guys could leave for the indies, but only if they had something they really, really wanted to do thats only possible outside Aew.

Assuming Jericho going back to WWE is a given, I'd say MJF.

Jericho or Jim Ross. Either one of them will kiss the ring first

Jericho or Jim Ross. Either one of them will kiss the ring first If I had to choose, Jericho would be more likely to leave after his time runs out. He gets shiftless more often, could possibly be enticed by a Hall of Fame induction or other prestige, etc. Jim Ross doesn't have much WWE could offer him. WWE wouldn't give him a main commentary role, he's already in the Hall of Fame, and he's been pretty open that he wants to keep commentating until he physically no longer can. He doesn't seem to have any real need of money, and with Jan dead, I think he seems to just want to be active and occupied.

I think Moxley might, honestly. Not out of bad feelings, but I think he's having a lot of fun in NJPW and I could see him giving them a full commitment.
