Originally I was Just going to make a post about Seal's "Kiss from a Rose" but I figured WHY limit it to just that song when there's so many Bat-tunes we can discuss.
Not going to embed them, they're all available on Youtube.
But seriously, has there ever been an explanation given about what lead to Seal turning in such a Lovely, Heartfelt Ballad about one of the lesser Batman Movies!?!?!
Are we supposed to believe Batman/Bruce Wayne hired him to write this song?
Was he supposed to be singing TO Batman?
Did he lie to the Film's producsers about being familiar with the Batman Franchise just to get a check?

I was on the fence about listing that or Batdance. The Fact that they were able to get PRINCE to do the soundtrack to a Batman movie is hysterical to me for some reason

Prince needed money, and doing the soundtrack was considerably less work for him than getting a new album out would have been. I want to say this is right after he got a new manager, and they advised him to do this, since yeah, it pretty much immediately fixed his finances.

Face to Face by Siouxsie and the Banshees by a mile. Pretty much anything is better than Kiss From a Rose. Even if R. Kelly is found guilty, I’d still rather listen to Gotham City than Seal.

Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me is U2's best song in my opinion.

The Coheed song instantly came to mind when I saw the thread title.

(It was on the Batman & Robin soundtrack, though it's more famous for the Watchmen trailer.)

I like the Seal and Coheed mentions, along with the old school theme song (of course). I'm also a huge fan of...

How about the Danny Elfman theme from the 1989 Batman (also used to make the theme for the animated series). To me, that theme is Batman.

It isn't actually my favorite (probably the Elfman theme or Deranged, but lot to pick from; maybe Beginning is the End is the Beginning but I associate it far more with Watchmen) but it deserves to be mentioned -
