I think another thing helping Jericho is that the Judas Effect has gotten very over very quickly. When he hit it on Page you could hear this collective sort of gasp from the crowd because they knew it was over. The fact that this dude is making me pop for a back elbow in 2019 is unbelievable honestly

I usually don't go for striking finishers outside of lariats, but I dig the Judas Effect. Helps that everytime I've seen it used, it's been sold extremely well.
But yeah, while it isn't flashy, a spinning elbow to the face is going to knock someone cut. Hell, in some circumstances it can be outright lethal.

I know Fozzy's got a song called Judas or the like, but it just helps that to do the move, he has to turn his back on you. Which, I could see being his undoing down the line. In the video package promoting he'd be debuting the move, they played up how the move is powerful, but leaves the user vulnerable and has like no range. We've already seen Okada duck it and roll him up, but I could see it playing into a different kind of counter down the line.

As someone that was in the crowd for both Double or Nothing and All Out, that has got to be the most drastic turnaround for a move's overness I have ever seen. And he better protect the shit out of the Judas Effect, because finisher degradation has been a major issue for Jericho for so long in his career.

I hope we get a heel Jericho concert. It doesn't have to be Fozzy. Just the image of too out of shape for leather pants, Jericho using the belt like a guitar, while a band backs him up, would be incredible. I'd love for Jericho to slowly descend into full on Dr. Rockzo, The Rock 'N' Roll Clown before the end of his AEW run.
