I'm fairly split, really main reason I'm asking is to hear some arguments about it. I think it'd be a mistake for Nyla to lose to Riho again right now, but while I'm definitely enjoying Nyla's work and want to see her succeed I could see her maybe being a bit too green to rush into having the belt right away. Additionally you probably want to end the first show on a face standing tall and I think if you're serious about the women's title being equal to the men's then the match should probably headline the first show, but that's not really an outright dealbreaker for me either way going.
I dunno. I think they're both good but imperfect choices. I think I lean Nyla, maybe quickly move the belt to Britt Baker or something, but I'm not really going to mind either option.

I'm pulling for Nyla. I wouldn't be mad with either outcome, but given they passed on Page, having new blood be a first champion on another title would be nice, especially since it's going to be a ways yet until the tag champions are crowned.

Of the two I'm rooting for Nyla. Altho I think a much better match could have been made with the talent they have, so I'm lukewarm on this one.
Kinda like how I went into the AEW World Title match too.
I think it's a bit too soon for Nyla, and I don't think Riho (as much as I like her) was the right choice. Neither scream "first women's champion!" to me.

I don’t mind either of them winning cause I like them both.
But thank the wrestling gods that the first champion will not be Bea Priestley or Brandi.

That’s a tough one, I’d have preferred a number of people to either of them. I guess Riho. Nyla actually looked kind of sloppy in that battle Royale.

And Nyla is too green for this position.Which just sticks out a little among all the amazing talent.

Riho. Don’t see the appeal of Nyla Rose. Don’t find her entertaining.

Riho. I like Nyla but she's way too green to be champion at this point.

Riho. It was always going to be Riho. I for one am all for it. She's great.

Riho. Nyla is green, and honestly, she was sloppy to the point of dangerous last night (namely the spots with Priscilla and Penelope).

I think it will be Nyla Rose, but I'd rather it be Riho.

Riho is a better wrestler in every way
buuuuuuuut Nyla is literally the only representation that me and a f***ton of other fans have ever had in a mainstream wrestling company so I basically go apeshit watching her every time regardless of how green she might be, so her.

Like Hangman Page, Nyla's not ready yet IMO. I think she gets a reign down the line, but Riho outclasses her in pretty much every way as a worker.

As I said in the TNT thread, you don't have a soul if you're not cheering for Riho to win

Nyla has become one of my favourites in the company very quickly, but Riho should and will win.

I can see the positives of either one becoming the champ, so as long as it's a good match, I'm good.

My mark side says Nyla. Not solely for representation, awesome as it is, but because her wrestling style is much more my cup of tea.
My armchair booking side says Riho. Nyla's work could use a bit more polish, and if they're committing to Jericho as the top men's champ for a while, on balance it'd be better for the women's titleholder to be a babyface.
I think Nyla wins out, as so far the presentation of AEW has me feeling I can comfortably cheer for my favorites without worrying about booking disasters wrought by deranged minds, not to name-drop any sheltered septuagenarians in particular. I won't complain either way, though.
