I think the Cody character is great, the promos and video packages have been good but the issue I've always had with him is that as soon as the bell rings, I stop being interested. Unless he's facing a guy like Guevara who can do a little of the flippy stuff, the 1980s/NWA style that he's trying to work isn't something he should be doing in 2019.

Does certainly seem to have its appeal given how widely beloved the Dustin match was and, while the Spears match reception was a little shakier, people were generally pretty positive on that one as well.

To me, Cody is best when he has a story. The reason I love the Dustin match is because it tells a great story and it’s why I have hope for Jericho/Cody being a great match. I don’t need them to do workrate or have a spotfest, that is what Omega/Moxley and Bucks/LAX will give me. It is a different style and one that I like to see. Just please, keep it under 30 minutes.

This PPV is gonna do major numbers. I do not think 200,000 buys is out of range.

I'm guessing Mox wins here, seeks a standard match afterward so it'll count, Kenny wins that, then you have an eventual big blowoff.

Gonna guess, somehow, Cody’s mother is involved in the match with Jericho.

We are 1 week away with only 4 matches announced. One of those matches has had almost zero build on television.
Weren’t we roasting WWE for this exact thing a few months ago?
I’m still going to order, and am sure the show will kick ass, just pointing out the double standard.

New Japan are extremely guilty of this as well for some of their (biggest) events.

It's weird how much better they were doing with builds to shows without Dynamite.

I honestly don't want Cody to win here. It reminds me too much of the direction that TNA took when Jarrett was constantly in the title picture and it buried a lot of good talent.

I'm kind of of two minds on Cody winning in that I do definitely want him as champion sooner rather than later but I feel like it's too soon for Jericho to lose the belt.
At the same time though, this feud needs to be a one-and-done. Getting bogged down in doing the same matches on PPV over and over and over is one of the things that makes WWE such a chore.

Have Spears cost Cody the match. That feud feels unfinished to me, what with Double A being the deciding factor at All Out. I would have those two finish the feud with an old school cage match at the next PPV so you can keep the story with Tully going.

I think that Wardlow guy will debut at the show, destroying The Librarian.

I just remembered that Marty Scurll's ROH contract runs out in November. He also wasn't featured in a full roster photo that hit my Twitter timeline a little bit ago. Could he make a surprise appearance? Perhaps an impromptu match with Sammy Guevara or Jake Hager?

Something that needs to be pointed out in regards to Marty, RoH have not had Villain Enterprises drop the trios titles yet. I don't know if that means they forgot he's a champion (with one of the least prestigious mainstream titles in the 2019 wrestling scene), or if they are somehow re-signing him, but I can't assume he's done with RoH as it stands.

Honestly one of the biggest questions for me if if Marty is gonna debut. I CAN'T WAIT FOREVER! Like, the opportunity is pretty ripe to do it now...if his contract expires soon. Scrull not being in that ROH picture leans more towards "it's expiring pretty soon" but it's literally the difference between "November 9th" or "at some point after November 9th". Because, hell, speculation aside on our end...he's going to be there. Like, I don't think there's an argument that can be made outside of "Marty really wants to piss off ROH management" for it not to happen the second he leaves. It's just when that second is.
