I dont know if that many exist anymore, but do they have that same attitude toward AEW as they do wwe? I can imagine some lone doofus thinking that Impact will rise up from the ashes of Aew.

Even though I haven't seen Impact since it moved to the Redneck Channel I'm still a fan of them. Regarding AEW, I can't wait for October 2nd. I'm a wrestling fan and the quality wrestling especially on television is great. Plus as a TNA fan I'm more concerned with them getting on a channel that the majority of people actually have

I've been pretty loyal to TNA/Impact since the FSN days. I have checked out for 1-2 years for various reasons but I always came back and nobody has been more vocal about how enjoyable the show has been then me over the last year. I even purchased my first live ppv from Impact this year. I am also pulling strongly for AEW. I attended All In (I know All In wasn't AEW) and D.O.N. I want as much great wrestling on my TV as possible. Any company that can give me that I will continue to pull out my wallet to support.

TNA's dead so no there isn't any of them left.
I am an Impact fan though, and I don't feel anything towards AEW. At the end of the day. Vince McMahon will always be number 1.

It's always a good thing when there's more places for people to work. Some of their stuff works real well for me, some of it is rough.

Interesting question but I would imagine most Impact fans are probably fans of whatever wrestling they can watch. It was kind of odd to hear the pop that LAX got for their surprise appearance in AEW. They’re primarily known for their Impact run. A show hardly anyone has been watching yet the AEW crowd was into them and knew who they were. That’s why I think that type of smart fan demographic is watching both.
The real question will be whether or not AEW can bring in new fans once they start airing on TNT. Will they attract outsiders, lapsed fans, casual fans, etc? They need to if they hope to grow. Otherwise they’ll end up being another Impact level show.

I would never say I was a diehard TNA fan, but I regularly watched the product from 2006 until it was completely ruined in 2010, then I just followed from a far. Of course, I watched Broken Matt, but he was the only thing on the product worth watching at that time. The current Impact is actually pretty good, but Callis and D'Amore aren't delusional. They are building a product for a niche indy fanbase and trying to bring in old ECW fans with their hardcore style, edgy storylines and a few old ECW stars. So for them, just getting on US television is the goal and really I think they would prefer to piggy back off AEW's success rather than try to compete with them. As far as the old TNA fanbase, AEW is definitely going for that as well, considering I always felt that TNA fans were WCW fans that couldn't really get into WWE. It's pretty clear AEW is going for the old WCW/JCP fans with people like Tully Blanchard getting involved, having more blood and violence and at the same time having more quality matches and realistic storylines. It will be interesting seeing if they can bring in new and lapsed fans. When I show non-fans New Japan, they actually get into it more than WWE, because it feels realistic. The biggest criticism I hear for WWE is that it's too fake and they are pushed away by that. As far as the lapsed fans, many of them miss the edgier Attitude Era, and while the world is more politically correct now, entertainment seems to be just as edgy and vulgar as it was in the 90s, possibly even more.
