CMLL just happy Fantastica Mania is in January because it means they don't also have an opportunity to somehow monstrously blow a partnered show with New Japan in 2019 Just wait until they send Drone to Power Struggle

Nasty bit of business.
Shame about Sha being a piece of work, I had been a fan since I saw him years ago in CHIKARA.
I've heard sketchy things about RevPro over the years, so this isn't entirely shocking. Though still disappointing with them being now one of the premier BritWres promotions and being partnered with NJPW that they couldn't get their act together.

I hope they lose every bit of working partnerships they have for this.
Enjoy the outlaw circuit, jagoffs.

Tanahashi has already dropped the title back to Zack Sabre Jr. Hopefully NJPW told them they were done with them.

Honestly, that was a pretty badly blown spot by the referee. That said, the post-match actions are inexcusable. Attacking and injuring the guy is obviously the main thing, but...for God's sake, guys, you won the match. Act like it. How can there be "controversy" with the winning team disputing a 3-count?

If they're faces, it works from a sportsmanship standpoint, I guess, wanting a clean win without a bad call tainting it. Otherwise, uhh, no clue.

Sportsmanlike babyfaces wouldn't be attacking the referee. They'd graciously offer up a rematch to their opponents. Maybe if they were smart they could get on the mic and kayfabe their way into continuing the match then and there since it's so bloody important that they "get their stuff in."

Also surprised that sequence wasn’t the finish. What other firepower were they going to deploy?

Sort of surprised Umino's going there, given this, but I guess it's not like could dissolve the relationship even if they wanted to, given Sabre's obviously big in Japan, Hikuleo's there, etc.

That’s not to say it hasn’t taken a hit with Tanahashi losing the British heavyweight belt in quick fashion and such but there is a lot of loyalty there it seems. Like, it’s probably not as easy to run shows in a really crowded UK scene as it would be in America.

Yeah, as much as I like a lot of promotions out there, there are only a handful that would make for positive excursions to suit with the status NJPW has and all of them are WWE partners.

Unfortunately, "You did something kinda f***y and shady but we're still gonna work with you" is just the story of pro wrestling. It didn't happen on their show or with anyone they're using, and most importantly not to any of their people. It's garbage and f*** RevPro but that's just how wrestling operates, and it's much worse off for it.

It's garbage and f*** RevPro but that's just how wrestling operates, and it's much worse off for it. Like I said, it's also a "state of the scene" thing. Especially in the UK scene, WWE's got such a massive hand on things, there's no real room for any other company to grow that much and nobody wants to lose their status with one company to risk working with another. Not that I justify anything to do with this at all but with how UK wrestling is right now and with WWE UK talent contracts the way they are, outside of NJPW working their own UK shows, they're sort of stuck.

Yeah, as much as I like a lot of promotions out there, there are only a handful that would make for positive excursions to suit with the status NJPW has and all of them are WWE partners. And the UK is basically required as an excursion for any NJPW star who needs to up their technical game

Not only was his neck at risk on the slam but at the 46/47 second mark you can see the ref getting hit repeatedly on the outside...Absolutely deplorable and I can understand why WWE wants nothing to do with this company
