Jericho man, even if this can potentially be somewhat true, this guy's sounding like he wants a war as much as Vince does.
Am I the only one who thinks Jericho will damage AEW in the long run? His mindset seems to be different from everyone else's. Most don't want to fight, Jericho pushes the idea of fighting. Jericho's saying the most publically, Jericho's champion which has advantages but at the same time he's at the top of the card, I don't know. He needs to pull back on some of this stuff.

It is why I think he will be back in WWE at some point He thinks like Vince and while that could be good and bad, i'm sure Cody and the boys don't want to be talking a war when they haven't even been in business a year yet. Let them hop in get started and temper expectations. You want the fans to not worry about ratings every week, just enjoy a good show which will be a big win for the fans because if AEW is producing a good show, WWE will have to step their game up Wednesday nights are going to be fun between them and NXT which is what I want the most

I know Jericho has the world's biggest hard on for himself, but was he in character for this?

Are we going to need an all-purpose "Chris Jericho says stupid shit" thread in the near future?
Seriously, just go back to the bubbly.

With the money they have behind them and the groundswell of support that they have, Vince was always going to see them as a threat, and he was always going to come after them. Cody, Khan and the rest of them can come out and say "We don't want to compete with WWE" all they want, it won't stop Vince from wanting to take them out.

A LOT OF THINGS.
He really shouldn't.

I know Jericho has the world's biggest hard on for himself, but was he in character for this? Seems like a bit of character involved Tho with Jericho, whether he's working or not, anything he says has to be taken in account for him saying something to get buzz. I brought Mox in and got wrestlers pay raises could possibly be true but also it is a good sound byte to have to get people talking

WWE are treating them as a threat so he's right in that sense. WWE will do everything in their power to stop AEW becoming big. Vince does not want competition.

Yeah he'll be back. He'll have a falling out with AEW down the line like when he had one with Vince and then rejoin WWE. I don't know but I do know that Jericho's all about this war stuff. He's really trying to be that dude there. Cody and the rest though, they really seem like they want to push their own brand regardless of what others are doing. That's important.
The thing is though, he's right. Whether AEW wants a war or doesn't, the bottom line is they're in one. Cody, Khan and the rest of them can come out and say "We don't want to compete with WWE" all they want, it won't stop Vince from wanting to take them out. It doesn't matter if Jericho's right or not, being right isn't what I'm saying. One thing I've noticed since AEW was formed is that Cody, Khan, the Bucks, they've all been talking about wanting to present an alternative, not wanting a war, wanting to just do things on their own away from WWE and the rest. Jericho on the other hand's always talking about "the war", bringing up WWE and Vince, he's mentioned WWE more than all the others. That just shows a different mindset than the rest because at the end of the day the others are focused on improving their brand and creating good content. Jericho on the other hand, he's just focused on the war, Vince and WWE due to their whole situation with NJPW.
The others aren't stupid, they know Vince is going to compete with them but what they're doing is spending more time on their own product than promoting Vince, WWE and a war. Jericho's just too focused on that.

And he's not wrong in that Vince will see this as a mini war but that doesn't mean it has to be. Cody and the boys want to just get in the door but they aren't naive enough to know Vince isn't trying to shut them down. That's on your mind but it isn't your focus which is a big difference. AEW has a shit ton of goodwill with the fans because of this being an alternative product to WWE and as long as they don't shit the bed they will be fine. The biggest thing is worrying about the product and then dealing with the potential growth that comes. Guys are going to want to jump on board at some point and in the same instance guys are going to want to leave to go elsewhere Focus on what you can control and then everything will fall into place

Jericho will be back in WWE eventually. If AEW can get three good years out of him to help build their brand and help create new stars they will take that.

Didnt Jericho say not that long ago since Vince would treat AEW like a war that he was just going to have fun with it and so should the rest of AEW?

You flatter the fans, while also talking about yourself in a high light and giving a little shine for the competition. Bring your best because we will bring ours and the winners will be the viewers

to be fair "getting ready for war" doesn't mean "going to war".
