The question is though, does he even know any of the three bands? Why wouldn't he have heard of them? They're popular bands in varying degrees of middle age. At least some of the people in the locker rooms Ric was in 20-25 years ago would have been fans of Green Day and Weezer at the least.

This reminds me of how much I’ve disliked Fall Out Boy’s output the past few years, especially “Uma Thurman.” Screw that noise.

As an unrepentant Stan for a Weezer geeking out at this announcement

Armstrong seems so delighted when Flair walks into frame.

My girlfriend told me about this tour. We just saw Weezer and they had a great show. I've always wanted to see Green Day. I might have to snag up a couple tickets.

Why does this f***ing guy still get work Those who hire him take a walk down memory lane; he is a piece of their formative years. In their minds they see mid-to-late 1980s NWA/JCP World Champ Ric Flair in his prime, "looking only as the Nature Boy can. WHOOOOOOOO!" For example: I really like this song, and it gets even better with the Nature Boy on the scene!

Yeah Flair has become a pop culture touchstone in the music scene especially hip hop these past couple years starting with Migos even having a big hit song based around him with Ric Flair Drip. His stylin' and proflin' with the Horseman in the 80s serves as a good metaphor for wealth and status.

Told my lady about this tour last night. And now she really wants to go. Which means I have to go with her.
Well it will be like when I was forced to go see Winger/Cinderella when I was 15,I will bring some earbuds and my mp3 player.
Never gave a crap about Fall Out Boy,Weezer..... not a fan. And Green Day were ok back in 93 thru 95.

Ric Flair Drip has probably helped his popularity. He wasn’t this mainstream over in his prime, but his character and promos age well, especially since they are pretty much hip hop bars in terms of content.

I think I might go to this because I’ve never seen Green Day before and they were my favourite band in the world when I was like 12. I loooooooved them.
I’ve seen Weezer on a number of occasions, but I haven’t liked any of their new stuff in years.
I might like two Fall Out Boy songs, but I generally don’t care for them.

You can tell Rivers wishes it was New Jack. Who would get the staples with him is the question.

I already got to see Weezer do all of Pinkerton and the B Sides so I wouldn't go to another one of their concerts but if Flair was the hypeman at the venue I might reconsider
