When they first started it, they had a lot of girls who were actually pretty good like Karen Q. They even had talent from Stardom coming in like Mayu Iwatani. But they let them go and decided that the likes of Kelly Klein should be the focal point of the division and have her put over The Horrific People who in 15 years still don't know how to run the ropes.

I think part of why Women of Honor never really took off was because of the "Women's Revolution". Now that WWE is taking women's wrestling seriously and genuinely trying to sign top tier ladies talents, ROH just can't compete with those salaries, thus any indy talent they bring in with any real potential is eventually gonna get offered an NXT developmental deal pretty quickly. Plus with AEW offering a genuine, big money alternative, and even Impact picking up their game in how they present their women, ROH is just left with really slim pickings.
Hell, even on the men's side ROH is having this problem. They made their name on amazing indy talent that at the time the WWE just didn't think fit their look. Now the WWE is willing to sign just about any indy name with any notoriety whatsoever, leaving ROH with some really dodgy leftovers.

Roh has been doing women of honor since like 2004 but they’ve never really actually tried to make it work its sadly pretty much existed only to keep the bookers/management’s girlfriends happy. It’s sad cause over the years they had some amazing talents that ROH’s fanbase would have gotta behind if they promoted them properly.

Yeah, but for most of it's history it was little more then one-off matches and showcases. They didn't really give it a go as a real, regular division until like 2015, mostly because women's wrestling was becoming popular due to NXT. Which is also around the time when the WWE started showing legitimate interest in signing top names from the women's indy scene.

Never heard of her, but I hope she's good because that is the absolute worst name I have ever heard.

I knew about that, but I am so beyond sick of the Beautiful People in any capacity after their 5000 reunions in TNA that I'm not even acknowledging it as a worthwhile pursuit regardless of whether Madison Rayne is involved in the angle or not. Oh, I've never been big on the stable, much less in what is at least, what, like the 6th time it's been put together? So, new member and name, "Allure", really does nothing to make it fresh. Still, before that, they had basically no attempt at an angle with the women for a while, so I don't know how much better off I'd call it before that. Allure should be renamed "Evil Intent". As for Martina, I wish her luck. She's going to need a lot of it in today's ROH.

Never heard of her, but I hope she's good because that is the absolute worst name I have ever heard. It is an absolutely horrible name, but there's a good chance she wouldn't be quite as over without it, because let's face it, once you hear it, you're not forgetting it.

Problem is there are so many ultra talented women out there who aren't on WWE's radar, either because they don't have 'the look'--see rumours of backstage officials complaining about how many 'not attractive neough' women were in the Mae Young Classic--or because WWE can't hire everybody, no way there's just no women they can do this with. AEW wasn't even a player when this started nad they were still giving the cold shoulder to a ton of top notch female workers on the scene. ROH are the ones who decided to half-ass it and focus the division around the girlfriends of people in management positions instead of even trying to make moves for major female names. The actual grabs like this are few and far between

The actual grabs like this are few and far between Right, like, I know ROH historically gets paranoid about using people too strongly who can leave, but what's their excuse for giving their women like zero time and few angles to speak of when it's women they know won't leave them, or who they had/have under contract? I know some of it has got to be guys pissy if they have to give up any time for it, but they shouldn't be dictating how you run your show.

I just got done checking out a few matches and a couple highlight videos, and...
Well, I'll just say that the fact that WWE offered her a contract is proof that the "women's revolution" is definitely dead.
Terrible.

Yep, brings money and is over as hell everywhere she goes, just terrible. Being over and being good are completely different things. Ultimate Warrior was over as hell and drew lots of money. He was also awful at the actual art of pro wrestling. Same situation here on a smaller scale, I guess. She might make a good manager, but she ain't a wrestler. And for me, personally, her gimmick is a one-note joke that gets old before her entrance is over.

She gets drunk and sleeps with Maria Manic.
Did this actually happen? Probably not. Does it need to happen at some point? Probably yes.

I'm very conflicted about this. I'm happy that she's making a bigger name for herself in America, but then I'm not a fan of the current ROH product.

You think Stardom would keep her around if she sucked?

Per Urban Dictionary, a Session Moth is an Irish woman who is a party animal, always up for drinking or fighting and other "craic". Martina drinks quite a lot, even during matches, and has an ever increasing (or sometimes decreasing) amount of children. Of which two she has accused me of fathering. She's everyone on the Britwres scene's mum. which brings some weird implications considering Dave Mastiff is probably your dad.
