If AEW succeeds, I think its gonna be inevitable that this happens(Vince threw a fit over a basketball team). Will it if/when they get a higher rating than Nxt?

They already had Sami namedrop them and Corey make a joke referencing the Jericho belt thing, but nothing too petty or anything yet. So far, their spite has been offscreen, with the "no firing" rule in place right now, or the probable reason for the Evolve show's placement versus Fight for the Fallen.
Will this hold out? Historically, no, but for the time being, they seem to be aware it'd just benefit AEW.

If you count the HOF Ceremony, Triple H called them a pissant company.

They already have.
Admittedly it's been not as constant or overt as a lot o the white noise the WWE machine spews, but it's been there.
Ironically a lot of it reminds me of TNA at their more conservative moments when taking shots at the WWE back in the day.

I think it's all going to mainly be between HHH and Cody, and I think both are doing it with a slight wink at eachother.

You also notice that any shots at them have been subdued lately because AEW's been taking them and turning them around to their benefit. Like Vince's comments about them being "blood and guts" being turned into a sort of rallying cry.

I don’t feel Cody and Hunter are looking at it like a blood feud, but also aren’t afraid to take the piss out of each other to fire up their respective audiences. They know how the game works (no pun intended). Vince and Dunn are the only ones who I really believe are in full “war time” mode

I’m thinking Miz ties Jericho’s IC record tonight, and goes on to break it in short order.

I can definitely see this happening as WWE loves doing this type of petty thing once a guy falls out of favor with them. Just like Brocks youngest world champion in history stat was erased by Orton months after Brock left the company. And Brock broke Punks longest World Title reign record. Nikki Bella erased AJ Lees longest Divas Champion Title reign shortly after AJ left. Man I cannot f****** stand WWE. Seriously, f*** that company.

Hard to say really. I honestly cant believe that they've (WWE) have allowed the shots that have already happened. You had a wink and nudge remark with TNA ages ago, but what's his dick actually said "AEW" on air (I think?).
I will be honest and say that I hope neither one of them ever mentions eachother again, unless it's in some form of shoot interview or something. It's nothing more than a cheap way to pop their respective audiences. Even if this blows up into a full on ratings battle in the future, I'd still rather AEW just remain completely Switzerland. I dont like WWE. I do like AEW. Just like Cornette says.. you can have your chocolate, but let me have my vanilla.

I did not realize that but it sounds like a very WWE thing to do.

And Brock broke Punks longest World Title reign record. It wasn't a record. It was the longest of the 2000s, but it wasn't even the same title, and is still way off of the record.

I should have been more clear. Yes longest reign of the last 25 years is how WWE promoted it when Punk broke it. Then Brock broke that record despite it not being the same title WWE still used that as a way to get Punk off the books because WWE logic.

So, they waited 3 years to get Punk out of the books? Vince can be a petty asshole, but I don't think Brock's long reign was to surpass Punk. If they wanted to do that, Brock would have kept the WWE Title that he won in 2014 to pass him. The others you mentioned happened within a year of the person leaving, this run began over 3 years later.

I did not realize that but it sounds like a very WWE thing to do. Of course there is no evidence of the reason. But such as with AJ and Punk the timing is too coincidental ,no way all of those are coincidences.
