Just because Fox wants a more "sports-like presentation" doesn't also mean they're going to suck all life out of Smackdown's product either. There's still going to be gimmicks and some goofy shit because that's wrestling.

The important thing is that he'd have held it longer than Jinder Mahal (180 days from one WWE Championship reign compared to Mahal's 170 days, 1x WWE), who is kind of the unofficial barometer now for "fair time" as world champion.
Believe it or not, the next guy after Mahal... Roman Reigns. For all that he's been at the forefront of WWE for all these years, he's only been a world champion for 182 days (3x WWE, 1x Universal).

Yeah, Roman title reigns have been mix of bad luck and bad fortune 1st title win, only like 2 mins thanks to Sheamus 2nd title win, his longest one which he losses at RR 3rd title win, Suspension 4th title win, Has to leave because of Cancer He's held the US title almost as long as he held the WWE title combined and add on the IC title and he eclipses that mark

They have to bring back Tazz, just so he can say “Welp, here comes the pain!” when Brock’s music hits

good get the title off that scrawny little string bean Hope Brock absolutely demolishes It's funny how people who are barely on here are all "I hope Brock destroys this goober Kofi". Look; I've hated on New Day before hating on New Day became a thing, and the Kofi title reign inevitably has to end. However, putting it on Brock is the 2nd worst thing WWE can do right now (the worst thing is easily putting it on the upsetting looking shaved gorilla with racist views when he inevitably returns) for several reasons, since the mystique of Brock is largely gone, it's hard to consider anyone not named Seth Rollins or Roman Reigns to have a remote chance of taking the belt off of him, and are only pushing him right now since Fox wants WWE to look more "sports" and less "entertainment". But I still am gonna laugh my ass off when Brock does take the belt since it's a formality.

I almost wish they’d do something totally guano insane. Kofi and Brock go back and forth for two thirds of the match. Lesnar starts getting the upper hand. He hits the F5, Kofi kicks out. Second F5, Kofi kicks out. Third F5, Brock covers, lights go out come backs and Brock is lying on top of the Fiend. The fiend kicks out dismantles Brock goes for the cover. Lights out, lights up,Kofi lying across Brock and a confused ref makes the three count.
They can also use that to set up the No Contest at HIAC.

I hate The New Day (well Big E mostly) but I'd hate Kofi to lose to Lesnar.

I don't really want another Lesnar title reign, but I think the WWE have run out of ideas on how to book Kofi's reign (if they ever had any to begin with.)

Get him away from New Day and the damn pancakes. Let him a “Hey I’m the WWE champion! I need to take this seriously and the only way I can do that is to get away from you two!” moment. Sorry but the WWE champion shouldn’t be tossing pancakes to the crowd

Maybe more people should loosen up and have a bit of fun on the job, then maybe they can start winning as much as Kingston does.

Fact is, Kofi is getting less of a reaction now than when he was gunning for the belt. His title matches haven't been anything special, the crowds are getting progressively quieter during them, and ratings have fallen hard while he's been on top. I don't know how any that's measures as a successful run, unless we just want to cling onto some imaginary "brass ring" analogy.
As much we may all like Kofi, this has not worked the way it probably could and should have.

Some performers will always be better as the chasers and not the chased.
