Cain in his prime kills Hager. Right now? Could go either way imo. If by either way you mean he could possibly still kill him, or he might just beat him to within an inch of his life, then sure.

Don't think everyone saying Cain saw his last fight, which was his first one in over 2 and a half years; He blew out his knee and lost in like 2 minutes. If he had to fight Hager in the cage tonight, he'd probably lose unless he unleashed a knockout blow in the first couple minutes. His body has given up on him in terms of competitive cage fighting. Exactly. People seem to forget that Hager already has a victory over Velasquez in amateur wrestling back in 2003 (yeah, Velasquez had his number on other occasions, but he's not undefeated against him). Combined with the fact that Hager has kept himself healthy AND is actively still competing in MMA (he's fighting at Bellator 239 while Velasquez withdrew from USADA), there's more credence to his ability than people are allowing. Not in MMA that you can point to, not yet. Great amateur wrestling career no question but he's fought two of biggest tomato cans possible so far and that's all. Point taken on Cain's health; but even well removed from his prime he has way more experience than Jack when it comes to actual MMA which is to say almost none that really matters. The two fights so far might as well have been exhibitions.

Patrick Cummins defeated Daniel Cormier in practice, DC then killed him when they fought in a real fight.

I see people mentioning training camp but Cain would legit not need a camp to thoroughly work Hager. Right now, off the couch, dad bod Cain would end Hager no matter how many steroids he's on.

I think people underate how shit Cain's body health is right now for a fight. Not saying any rookie could defeat him since I am sure if Cain gets a good hook it is game over but I think Swagger is smart enough of a fighter to handle it. But yeh Cain probably would need just a couple good hits ,but Swagger would need just a good takedown too.Like not saying Swagger is an amazing MMA fighter but he has some experience and skills, that could be enough.

Yeah, idk about all of that, Cain body is trash but Jake has still not fight anyone anywhere the level of Cain
If Hager was younger and a legit prospect i'd have more of thinking he could but he's beaten big big cans. Cain experience level will be deciding the factor and i'm sure he still has good enough power in his hands that Hager hasn't felt

Well, one of them has beaten two tomato cans, and the other spent years facing top tier competition and usually coming out on top.

The only way that Hager wins is if Cain suffers another mid fight knee blow out.

I'll say Cain takes it.
