I'm expecting Cactus to run away with this but I'm very partial to Mankind. Loved when he was sad and pathetic and sympathetic and gullible but so loveable and yet also a badass.

The original Mankind gimmick, before it turned into the shirt wearing, Socko bollocks.

Mankind was one of the few wrestlers I can think of that originally had different entrance and winning themes.

At a certain point, Mankind and Mick Foley were, essentially the same gimmick. In, that, I prefer anytime he was closer to Mick.
However, for the purposes of this I'm going to assume Mankind as presented from his debut up to right before the interview with JR where he became closer to Mick.
In that, I have to give it to Cactus.

I voted Cactus, but it was hard not to vote for the original Mankind character. I was scared shitless of him when he first debuted.

Mankind had more character development and could play any part whether it was popular babyface to hated heel to a humorous character if need be.

Deranged Mankind left an immediate impression on me. I was fascinated with him. I wanted to see him win over the affection of Austin and everyone else.

Cactus Jack was already a legend in my eyes before he ever got to WWF. I absolutely hated the Mankind character when he arrived in WWF because I wanted Cactus Jack. At the time it was a compromise because at least I finally had Mick Foley in the WWF. I lost my shit when Cactus Jack FINALLY debuted in MSG on that episode of Raw in 97.

Yeah, Mankind got the most development. It made a weird sort of sense for him to go from Leatherface to corporate monster to cuddly murder-friend. But really? Like... they were always the same guy putting on different personas. The same character was all three. THAT'S the best one.
man... the WWE had a guy who was such a natural, good actor he literally played four characters all at the same time. They were all ludicrous characters, of course, but clearly distinct, and we knew their motivations and traits. That's kind of crazy to think about.

Original Mankind was off the page. As much as I liked Cactus Jack. 1996-1997 Mankind wins hand down. Genius character

Mankind easily. A real compelling character that took "crazy" beyond just laughing at nothing in particular like Bray or Nikki Cross.

OG Mankind.
I would vote Cactus, but his best years under that persona were in other promotions.

I gave a pity vote to Dude Love. Mostly because his heel run in 1998 was something.

I love that, in contrast to the others, Dude Love was essentially a coward. He certainly could fight, but he did it grudgingly. That always tickled me.
I voted for Mankind, as I liked how being pitiful only made him more dangerous, not less. Cactus is great, too, but he is also probably the most straightforward for them.
