Due to a schedule change, I was home to watch Crown Jewel instead of waiting for the weekend. Crown Jewel was a decent show. The Kickoff Battle Royal was OK. Velasquez VS Lesnar sucked, which I expected. The Tag Team Turmoil was long, but good. Mansoor VS Cesaro was great and the best match on the show. Fury VS Strowman was horrible, which again I was expecting. The US Title match was the 2nd best match on the show. Natalya VS Evans was better than their previous matches but was cool for them to make history. The 10-Man Tag was fun. The main event was OK, but I can’t stand the red light. Also, I loved the announcement that Survivor Series is going to be tri-branded with NXT involved. I’m interested in seeing what that means and if wrestlers will be wrestling on both Takeover & Survivor Series back-to-back. Crown Jewel was a good way to spend a lazy Thursday home from work.
