Oooooh, man, that was a dandy of a surprise, wasn't it? Really toyed with the emotions and my ability to fill out the space that happens when you hover over the thread title before clicking the actual thread.
Um... Screw Flanders.
There that should be enough now.
So, Finn Balor turned heel, hm? Comes on out with Ciampa and Gargano and it looks like they're about to fight Undisputed Era and whammo.

Someone said it in the thread about him not being really aligned with UE, but just still a heel. I like that. He can be a loner type similar to how Ciampa was/is.
I want 97 Hitman serious as f*** heel Finn vs. Badass Stone Cold face Ciampa WrestleMania weekend

Goddamn as soon as he turned heel he looked absolutely deadly. What a surprise! I wouldn’t have seen that coming in a million years.

I got that feeling too when all of the UE were flashing the hand sign and he wasn't returning it. But I couldn't help fantasy book a UE/Club cross brand super faction.

And also, I don’t think they could have done this turn on the main roster, because then it ends up layered in cliché and buzzwords and “VINCE TURNED HIM HEEL SO YOU’RE NOT ALLOWED TO CHEER FOR HIM ANYMORE” narratives. And because main roster Balor had tied himself so closely to being a social advocate with the LGBT support stuff, that could have gone down a really ugly path if they really wanted it to.
Here, they’re gonna get the benefit of the doubt from the fanbase that will allow the story to develop and breathe.

I don’t know, the tone of the videos and no one coming out to even up the odds when 4-3 the shock was more of “nice, thus should be good” vs “what the f*** Brian?”
Looking forward to see where it goes though. Baylor seems more interested in Johnny, how became Mr. NXT, and the fans forgetting him so easily (my guess).
I am interested to see where UE verses Ciampa goes. Got to that might be War Games. Ciampa and 3 others vs. them. Maybe put Lee and Dijakovic still missing one though.
Either way seems fun.

I haven't been able to watch anything on Wednesdays due to being busy but stuff like this makes me wanna immediately tune in. I did NOT expect that at all. I saw the clip and Balor looked like one of those action movie quiet badasses. Like one of those dudes they call whenever shit needs to get handled. Amazing. Wow.

yeah I hope his injury is more kayfabe and Dream will be good to go for this. Hahah a year ago all I wanted was Aleister and Dream vs DIY, and I got that eventually, now all I want is Ciampa and Dream against UE. Wrestling leads me down some odd paths.

Now I really want to see the Demon vs Dream. That is why I love NXT so much.

But I couldn't help fantasy book a UE/Club cross brand super faction. who would be in the club in NXT though? Well UE effectively become Club Florida (with Balor and Cole being former Bullet Club members) I'm not suggesting a name change or anything, just an alliance. Club and UE support each other wherever possible, with occasional crossover.

That was honestly the most shocked I've been since Brock ended the streak.
Thinking about the future matchups for heel Balor right now and things are looking good! Balor vs. Gargano, Balor vs. Ciampa, Balor vs. Velveteen Dream, Balor vs. Dunne...

Yep. I saw the clip. That was...interesting.
This doesn't have the feel of a Prince Devitt. There's no fooling around here with Bullet Club, no smartass antics, no mouth. There is also none of the "you people", cheap-heat kind of heeldom at work here. There is an utter coldness to Balor's heel turn that makes Ciampa's heel turn appear positively incandescent in comparison. This is the Jake Roberts kind of heeldom.
I'm shivering right now from the implications this presents.
