David Starr is a indie pro wrestler that is very well informed and often speaks up about rights for pro wrestlers.

God I f***ing love David Starr.
Why anyone would want to work for WWE at this point mystifies me. Get a real people job outside the ring, do the indy shots, but don't expect it to be a career.

You like wrestling but dont mind not being super mega rich? Go for AEW,Impact,Powerrr,MLW,NJPW(not ROH). You can make decent money on those companies I think. Some more than others but that is any business.

They better had given a pretty good f***ing reason for that because holy shit. ESPECIALLY for what you’re asking these people to do now in terms of lifestyle changes. Christ.

When did WWE slowly become loltna? How long before they hired the Harris Twins to get the NXT crew to stop talking raises and racist t-shirt?

Two things:
1) Imagine thinking you, rando on the internet, somehow know more about the internal business of wrestling more than....an actual wrestler with connections to these people.
2) I would sit out the rest of my contract immediately if I heard I wasn't getting paid despite being on national television.

Everyone relax. All the NXT pay raises went to the Seth Rollins Food on the Table restoration fund.

MLW and the NWA aren't going to pay you enough to live on as a single job unless you're relentlessly frugal.

Wouldn't be surprised if WWE expected to waltz into the same kinds of numbers SmackDown was doing on USA and now that AEW is devouring them they're just like, "F*** you guys, you aren't draws," about it.

To add to this:
I think what's happening here is getting pretty obvious. All these huge signing waves and reckless money-throwing was a plan to try and hold onto as many people as a panic response to the growth being seen elsewhere. It didn't stop the growth, and now they're left holding a bunch of people, not all of whom are ever going to make it to television, and playing the 'make a bunch of empty promises' dance to people while they try to figure out how to handle the fact their own fortunes haven't been reversed and their high stock price is right now solely off of big paydays that they need to save as much of as they can to pacify shareholders, because every other revenue source is drying out and becoming a problem. The company is rife with top-to-bottom internal problems that this like this is only going to continue to make worse and more tense as the days go on and this shit continues to build.
Through it all, this remains the most f***ing fascinating year from a business standpoint because everything is going so wrong.

The fact that they are actualyl running out of PHYSICAL SPACE for their Wrestling Collection made me chuckle. Shows how much they don't need all these guys they are refusing to let go.

Yikes, lmao. All that bread from these TV deals and Saudi blood money and you can't break a little extra off? That's a bad look no matter how you slice it.

You’re an actual billion dollar company with tonnes of money to spend potentially on improving developmental. If this is remotely true, how do you let something like that happen? Like, could you picture a team like Liverpool FC or the Golden State Warriors or the New England Patriots going “Sorry, man, we signed too many people, you have to change with the opposition because we don’t have a spare locker for you”? No, because they prepare for that shit.
