Damn I cannot wait for this show. I wouldn't put it passed them to put Oliver's daughter on the Waverider and finish her storyline through Legends if they can't get the spin-off off the ground.

So excited for this, I just hate the title. Why can't they ever just call the live action version Superman? It's always Lois and Clark, Smallville, Man Of Steel, or some shit like that. Just call the damn show Superman!
It would be like calling the shows Flash and Cisco, Batwoman and Luke, or Supergirl and Lena. It's a dumb title. I'm all for female equality, but everyone knows Superman's wife/girlfriend is Lois Lane, even if they aren't Superman fans.

Closest would be the 80s Superboy show I think. Even the 50s show was called "Adventures of Superman" Also, nowadays there may be some confusion as some animated movies, the comic and I think one show and game were pushing the idea of Superman and Wonder Woman as an item.

For a little while in the comic, Superman was split into two dudes, but they thought they were Supermans from alternate dimensions. One was married to Lois, and one was dating Wonder Woman. The one who was with Wonder Woman died/remerged with the one that was with Lois. But I personally think he should have gone the Tommy Dreamer route and taken them both. I guess he's not hardcore without the mullet and black suit.

The merge actually erased his entire relationship with Wonder Woman in the current continuity...and thank god for that. Bad enough Diana was a near homewrecker in the pre-Flashpoint era with her crush on Supes. In Rebirth she finally admitted she only cared about Clark as an "easy option", wised up, and chose Steve. The two haven't been that particularly close ever since.

I've spent the past year and a half or so reading/re-reading my favorite DC runs and storylines combined with stuff I always wanted to read, and I'm doing it as close to chronological as possible. I started with Green Lantern/Green Arrow by O'Neil and Adams, and now I'm toward the beginning of the Rebirth era. I should be up to date in a few months.

I love everything about that poster <3 They’ve got a whole set of DC/CW posters in that style (picture of character and comic panels on the side).

Feels so strange and RIGHT seeing live action Supes without a bunch of grey bullshit. COLOR! IT LOOKS GOOD!

Fandome panel:
-The Kents move back to Smallville after a big tragedy occurs in Metropolis -Lois and Clark explore the idea of just how well you can be at your job while dealing with the emotional duress of your kids -There is 'so much needed of Superman' that the question is asked 'when DO you turn it off?' 'how do you scale back the effort you've made for the world to spend time with your family?' -There will be no Lois/Clark/Lana triangle, Clark will not have an affair, Lois and Lana won't get into catfights. -There will be more of a love triangle involving Lois and Clark's boys with Lana's daughter -Sam Lane and Lois' relationship is a little 'fraught' -Lots of heroics, but also plenty of teamwork, Lois pursuing a different kind of enemy, she and Clark are an 'unstoppable force' -'Badass new suit' for Supes

Given the lip service a lot of CW shows give towards progressive stances while ultimately failing to follow through on them, I wish I could say I'm surprised. But I'm not.

And I thought probably having the marriage 2 years after they should do would be the main thing I'd complain about here.
