It'd be a serious stretch, plus also weaken Anakin's turn if Mace actually survived. But I do appreciate Jackson's continuing enthusiasm for the part. He's never really faltered with that. Mace Force Ghost would seem an absolute piece of cake to do, but I figure he wants him in the flesh and swinging around a lightsaber. Honestly, a broken hermit version of Mace Windu who shuts himself completely off from the Force because he knows with where his head is at he will fall to the Dark Side would also be interesting. Cere Junda shut herself off but never shut herself away, but Mace probably would. A version of Mace who might possibly become a legitimate threat to the galaxy himself could make for a great story. Super delayed reaction quoting, but I feel like you could still make it work without weakening Anakin's turn by just making it a combo of "Palpy lied about Padme, what's to think he didn't prune-face lie to Anakin about anybody else he knew reasonably well?" That and I feel like you could very easily say that Palpy, being as powerful as he was, could pretty much subtly mind trick even other Force users if he wanted to. It would certainly play well into manipulation being arguably by far his biggest strength. That and frankly, it would be completely in character for Palpatine's hubris for him to have never bothered to confirm that Mace was definitely dead. Alternatively, Star Wars just needs to say screw it and either embrace Elseworlds/Multiverses already, or just go in on a proper What-If type show. Hell, I'd take the latter just to get an adaptation of the Infinities comics from a million years ago.

- Rogue Squadron has been scrapped. - Feige will be too busy with the MCU for the rest of the decade to do anything else. - Rian Johnson's immediate priorities are the Benoit Blanc mysteries and Poker Face, though LucasFilm still want to work with him. - Taika Waititi is expected to have a supporting role in his movie. - Oscar-winning documentarian Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy is expected to direct a movie written by Damon Lindelof and Justin Britt-Gibson.

I swear to the force, we will SOMEDAY finally get a Rogue Squadron/Wraith Squadron show and/or movie. I won't rest until Corran Horn, Face. Ton Phannon, Kam, Tycho, Wes, and the rest make it into the live action.

I was big into the Rogue Squadron books, even though they got kind of outlandish after the first.

I think Star Wars and DC are trying to outdo each other for messy movie divisions. I'm going to Star Wars Celebration next month and was hoping we might get an announcement of whatever they're doing next but I'm not feeling very hopeful now. I enjoy most of the D+ stuff, but I really miss seeing Star Wars on the big screen.

I've been going through the Star Wars Legends novels and now I'm at the X-Wing books. I started The Bacta War yesterday. I'm really liking the X-Wing books so far. A couple characters I wouldn't mind be added to canon besides Rogue/Wraith Squadron are Ysanne Isard and Borsk Fey'lya as antagonists.

The cast of Wraith Squadron has a few I'd love to see in canon. Honestly, between the humor in the books, there are some dark and mature subjects in those books that get handled with great care. Mental health actually being a big part at times. But even as dark as they can get, the next page can have you on the floor laughing. Hell, I quote entire passages of these books, particular one of the last X Wing books Starfighters of Adumar. I probably reread those books at least once or twice a year.

Ysanne isn't canon yet, but her father Armand is. So there's definitely a path for her to make her debut in canon. Though instead of being in charge of Imperial Intelligence, he now is the chairman of COMPNOR (basically the propaganda ministry).

For starters, it's a squad full of Jansen's (including Wes himself). It's a misfit squad and the books take full advantage of that fact. If you loved the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, you'd appreciate these books. They still have all of the same action as the Rogue Squadron books, but with more memorable characters.

Hadn't seen that I think he was in one of the canon books. The primary intelligence officers to show up in Rebels were Callus (who defected) and Yularen (who done been blown up in the 1978 film, as far as everyone knows. Then again, Tagge got off the Death Star before it blew up, but got himself Vadered later).

Rewatching The Clone Wars movie on Disney+, whatever happened to Rotta? I was legit hoping he was going to show up in Book of Boba Fett and aid in taking out the Hutt Twins for something-something-something ruining Jabba's legacy.
