It's similar but the whole there's a big group of guys on the outside but I'm gonna jump on them from a not so tall height and the whole group of guys fall like bowling pins. I saw a gif of Ricochet doing it I assume last night.
Can for once the flyer roll off them or the crowd of guys catch the flyer instead of them all falling like a bunch of ya know non-pro athletes?

What if the crowd caught the flyer and immediately put him through a table or something?

It is really stupid when a 180 Lb. guy takes out a group of dudes collectively weighing 1500 Lbs.

What if the crowd caught the flyer and immediately put him through a table or something? They should crowd surf him up the ramp and powerbomb his ass off the stage through an electric box/table

It’s even worse when the gang of 6-8 dudes just kinda stagger around getting into position as they await the bowling ball. Looks so fake.

I would like just one time, see one dude oversell it by stumbling towards the barrier, flip over it, stumble some more and then flop face first onto the ground

There was actually a great counter to this spot on AEW the other week. Sabian attempted a tope to the outside, onto all three of The Elite, and they just caught him and Apron Bombed his ass.

I liked when Cena did it to like 20 people That was great because Jern is 250 pounds and the dude moved through the air with all of the grace of an old Volvo pushed off a cliff. It was hilarious.

I hate this spot so much because they always stand around waiting; I know wrestling isn’t the pinnacle of realism or anything and shouldn’t be but seeing them all stand around like lemons really takes me out of the moment

What if the crowd caught the flyer and immediately put him through a table or something? Didn't this happen recently, I wanna say in a big multi man match on 205 Live?

This is a big reason why I f***ing hate lumberjack matches, because you know you're going to get this spot.

*dives into thread, falling on several posters* (... although a couple failed to catch me) "notices everyone else has fallen down while i'm standing several feet from the pileup. falls down too in order to fit in. points randomly in some direction to honor the inventor of this spot, sin cara"

Both are over done. Especially when you have 250lb guys busting them out every other match.
As far as suicide dives for the most part that has becoming a staple of the opening match sequence.
Tie up, reversing holds, off the ropes, tackle, sleep, dodge an elbow, hip toss, clothesline to outside.... DIVE!
It's as overplayed as the 'stand off *applause*' became.
