1999 Mazda 626. Lasted me until this year. I think in 1999 they must have been preparing for the apocalypse that was expected with Y2K. A lot of cars built then were really made to last. My second car was a 1999 Toyota Corolla I got earlier this decade. The previous owner beat the f*** out of it, but I’m sure it would still be running now. The only reason it’s not is because a guy rear ended me full speed when I was stopped at a red light. The frame of the guy got destroyed and totaled the car though the engine still worked and I could technically even still drive it though it wasn’t officially safe to do so, so I sold it. My third car was a slightly newer Corolla. 2001 or 2002 I think. It had a leaky engine that I didn’t get fixed fast enough after I bought it. By the time I took it in to get fully fixed the engine damage was severe enough where it wasn’t really worth fixing. It served its purpose though. I was able to get my current job where I can save a decent amount of money by working ridiculous overtime. With the money I saved while I had the third car I bought a 2012 Toyota Corolla Sports Edition In 2016. It’s still in incredible shape though I should get the interior cleaned and some asshole keyed it (police think they meant to key a nearby car that looked identical, awesome luck I have). I’m hoping it lasts me like 10 years or so. Any wear or tear on it is superficial and wouldn’t cost me much to get it pretty close to the condition I bought it in.
