Sure, the opinion from an embittered Giants fans isn't going to mean much, but I still hold firm in my position that all the teams in the AFC North are dirty as hell and have been so for decades.
But this was some next level shit right there. Garrett should not see a football field for at least a year with that shit that he pulled. If that helmet hit Rudolph in the wrong part of the head, we're talking a potential homicide here. Pouncey doesn't fare much better with his reaction, but who often sees their QB get smacked with a f***in helmet though? Ogunjobi (#65 on the Browns) should get a suspension because that was a straight-up jack move. Dude already got hit with a helmet and you're going to hit him from behind? Serious bitch move.
Now I'm in serious f*** the Browns mode. They finally beat the Steelers and they pull shit like this? Their entire M.O. this season has been undisciplined football and now it rears it's head in a major way. Let them return to the bowels of the NFL where they belong.

Burfict only got that long a suspension because it was like a 50th incident. If it was an isolated hit, he probably would've been fined or suspended 1-2 games at most.
But what Garrett did is like, not even a dirty hit. It was outright assault.

Yea as I said in the main NFL thread you got these people on NFL Network acting like 1st Graders saying but Garrett didn't start it It don't matter. Yes, Rudolph tried to pull his helmet off but at the end of the day Garrett got up, yanked him off the floor to get his helmet off and had all the control with the OL separating him and Rudolph. That was dirty, there is no way around it

Watching Sportscenter and Scott Van Pelt and Damien Woody are understandably losing their shit right now. Yea, Woody is sick Okay you can say Rudolph instigated it with trying to do the helmet first but in saying that, that does not equal a hit to the head with a helmet. If the crown hit, Rudolph would been f***ed up. Add on he was already knocked out this year with a concussion Pouncey blacked out and he's def getting a suspension at least one game. Rudolph may get one game. Myles should be out rest of the season. You come down hard on that shit There is another angle that shows while Garrett is trying to get up and Rudolph is grabbing his helmet...Rudolph kicks him in the nuts with his cleat, that's what really set him off. Is it a justifiable reaction, no it's not but for some reason Rudolph lost his mind and thought cause he didn't get a flag he could just be a dickhead, then Garrett went to another level.

In that case, I'd give Rudolph a rest of the season suspension as well. Not just in a 'an eye for an eye' sense, but that's a very dangerous move as well. A cleat, like a helmet, basically is a dangerous weapon when used as such. Albert Haynesworth famously got a 5 game suspension for using his cleat as a ECW/CZW style cheese grater on an opponent. And that was on the opponent's face, not the opponent's you-know-what. Regardless, even if not for the whole season, it should still be some sort of substantial suspension if Rudolph indeed went 'there'.

You could definitely make the case that the groin kick was a 'natural self defence mechanism', since Garrett was right on top of Rudolph and tugging as his helmet, thus Rudolph was trying to get Garrett off him anyway he could. That would definitely lower the amount of punishment Rudolph deserves. It's still a multi-layered situation, since the full video shows that right before that groin stomp, they were both grabbing at each other's helmets while they were still standing.

I think they are both at fault personally, Garrett is a moron for swinging a helmet and that is the most egregious offense however, Rudolph is also a complete dumbass for instigating the fight and not letting it go. Once his helmet is ripped off it should be done, yet he charges after Garrett. People say what if this was Brady or Rodgers, those guys would in no way have handled that the way Rudolph did, he was upset at how the game went and decided he wanted to pick a fight.

I'm trying to figure out what Rudolph even thought he was going to accomplish fighting with a guy sculpted by the Greek gods.

I’m good with him taking off Rudolph helmet and showing him who is boss, swinging it tho Na he all the way in the wrong and there is no excuse for that. Rudolph is not getting a pass at all but Garrett was 100% wrong and needs to sit out the rest of the season

Completely removed from the chaos...how did the Steelers end up with a 4th Down to cause that ridiculous nonsense that ended the game?
It was 3rd and Halfway to Mars and Garrett delivered a late hit. That's a penalty. Then after the play, a metric ton of personal fouls and ejections and suspensions occurred.
How was it 4th down? How would the Steelers not have an automatic first down? And if it's because maulings offset, why wouldn't they just be re-doing 3rd down?
I don't know why this is on my mind, outside of the hilarity of the Steelers going out and kneeling on 4th down meaning that after all that garbage, the referees had stop everyone from leaving because we must,, MUST, have the Browns come out and kneel once.

Garrett should face criminal charges. I mean, a simple fight on the field is one thing and no one should be charged with anything for that, but this dude hit that guy in the head with a weapon. If I did that on the street, my sorry ass would be under the jail.

Browns fan here...
-Mason trying to rip Garrett's helmet off and then going for the groin more than once was trash -Garrett deserves the suspension. Had he stopped at the helmet removal, fine..but nah bro. You can't do that. You're a captain, you lead by example. -Lost in all of this was the fact that Joe Shobert is the Steelers' daddy.

I'm hoping the Skins lose to the Jets. We need to keep up with Cincinnati for the #1 pick. We're currently 2nd which could fetch us Chase Young or a trade back with a team who wants Burrow or Tua, whomever the Bengals don't select.
But being the Redskins we're sure to mess it up regardless, By taking another QB and not trade Haskins and let them battle it out.
