If he did his Scott Anthony work from GWF, I'd be all over that. No wait! Semi related to the above, but NWA should go meta on us and get STEVIE RICHARDS as the replacement. I know he had throat surgery, which is why he sounds like that, would that be an impediment to him doing commentary? I do remember him telling a funny story of Johnny Ace originally disliking him because he thought Richards was mocking his way of speaking before being told, no, Richards just sounds like that due to surgery.

Sweet Stan or Magnum if they want to stick with an NWA legend with commentating experience. ![](https://ringthedamnbell.files.wordpress.com/2019/08/stan-lane1.jpg) ![](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/ZnErocQbPY0/hqdefault.jpg)

Thought he did a good job moving to commentary and if he had stuck around the WWF longer, he could've been great. Used to have an old value-priced, hour-long WWF Best of WrestleMania VHS tape in 1994 that included Lane and Gorilla Monsoon re-recording commentary over slightly edited versions of the Steamboat-Savage and Hogan-Andre matches from WrestleMania 3 and they did a great job.
