The most watched Pro Wrestling show on Wednesday nights for the past two weeks is back live at Full Sail University - can NXT carry on its momentum following their success at the Survivor Series? As ever, discussion rules of both NXT and AEW Dynamite are located here: officialfan.proboards.com/thread/592137/rules-discussion-weekly-aew-shows
Rhea Ripley is on the biggest run of her career, and seems destined for a title showdown with Shayna Baszler for the NXT Women's Championship. However, it was Dakota Kai who nearly put a spanner in the works with her betrayal of Tegan Nox (and presumably Mia Yim though she hasn't owned up to that one yet) that left Ripley and Candice LeRae short handed inside the WarGames cage. Although Rhea and Candice eventually overcame the odds, Ripley is still angry at Kai for putting her in that situation, and also for her attack on LeRae last week, which would have ended up worse had Ripley not personally intervened. Tonight, The Nightmare gets Kai one on one, and will be looking to make a statement and right wrongs ahead of any title match with Baszler. However, as Tommaso Ciampa found to his cost last week, external factors (namely Baszler herself) could come into play and slow her roll. How will Dakota get out of this one?
Damian Priest and Killian Dain came out on the losing end of their three way with Pete Dunne at WarGames, as the Bruiserweight went on to challenge Adam Cole for the NXT Championship at Survivor Series, albeit unsuccessfully. Further damage was done to Priest by way of Dain caving his ribs in during the match, so now The Archer of Infamy has to battle the Beast of Belfast one on one. But is Priest back too soon?
Adam Cole thought he had an ally outside of the Undisputed ERA when he assisted Finn BΓ‘lor in his win over Tommaso Ciampa, putting a major roadblock in Daddy's quest to get Goldie back. However, Cole then ate a Pele Kick, as BΓ‘lor asserted that he's very much his own man. BΓ‘lor appears to be next in line for Cole's NXT Title now, with Ciampa having to wait. Will the Prince claim his stake tonight, and how will Cole and Ciampa react?
The rivalry between Lio Rush and Angel Garza over the NXT Cruiserweight Title continues to intensify. Following Garza's advances on Rush's wife, and then Rush's sucker punch to Garza at Takeover, Garza then confronted Rush following his successful title defence against Akira Tozawa last week, so this has got extremely personal. When will Garza get his next shot at Rush for the title, and does he have to earn it in the ring?
All this and plenty more from 8/7c on USA... and by all accounts, Mauro Ranallo will be back with us tonight.
