AEW Dynamite is live this week from the State Farm Center in Champaign, Illinois, stomping grounds of a certain Mr. Tony Khan, and there's a stacked card tonight. As ever, please read the rules for discussion of both Dynamite and NXT: officialfan.proboards.com/thread/592137/rules-discussion-weekly-aew-shows
This week's main event once again pits The Elite against the Inner Circle, as The Young Bucks join forces with the returning Dustin Rhodes to take on Sammy Guevara and Proud N Powerful. Ortiz and Santana joined Guevara in targeting The Natural when he announced his return last week, and Matt and Nick Jackson made the save. Which side will claim the upper hand in their ongoing war?
The Lucha Brothers find themselves in singles action this week. After losing to the Best Friends last week, Rey Fenix now goes one on one with Trent, who already has a win over Pentagon Jr. on Dark, so he's looking to complete the set. Meanwhile, Pentagon Jr. looks to settle his score with Christopher Daniels, who he put out of action with a piledriver on the ramp. Can the Fallen Angel get the ultimate revenge?
Jon Moxley kept a watchful eye as Chris Jericho retained the AEW World Championship against Scorpio Sky last week, but someone else was keeping an eye on Moxley... from all the way in GCW. Joey Janela came out during his old promotion's show running head to head with Dynamite, and challenged Moxley to a sanctioned match, following their Lights Out affair at Fyter Fest in June. Will the Bad Boy be a road block to Moxley's title aspirations?
Hikaru Shida moved up to the top spot in the women's rankings following a win two weeks ago over Britt Baker, but last week she was on the wrong end of tag team action, losing to Bea Priestley and Emi Sakura. She wasn't pinned, but her partner that night, Kris Statlander, blamed Shida for causing the loss, and challenged Shida to a match tonight. Can the Galaxy's Greatest Alien cause a huge upset and down the #1 seed?
All this... and will we find out more about THE BUTCHER, THE BLADE AND THE BUNNY... tonight from 8/7c on TNT in the US, TSN in Canada and FITE TV worldwide!
