I think it actually came to a point that he could not kick anymore. His injury flared up last week and contributed to his first two misses (that last miss was entirely on the blockers).

At this point I think they have to see what the young, inexperienced players can do. I still think they should snipe either Jordan Veasy or Penny Hart from their respective practice squads, especially since they only have 4 healthy WRs and 2 fully healthy TEs. Hines can help by running receiver routes, but they need more receivers and both of those two were learning the playbook in the preseason.
