So we're prolly getting— AEW Championship: Jericho vs. Moxley Cody vs. MJF Luchasarus vs. Hager (or maybe Dustin vs. Hager?)

Revolution? Didn't Cody learn anything in WWE? You save all the names like that to passive aggressively title all your UK PPVs.
Joking aside, that struck me as weird even as a young teen. Insurrection, etc. It was especially weird given what a success the Summerslam there had been, so why be oddly spiteful towards them?

I think Cody vs. MJF they can...Mox vs Jericho might need to happen sooner to keep momentum. Maybe it ends up as Moxley/Jericho/PAC or Moxley/Jericho/PAC/Omega? I could see it being multiman if Jericho needs to retain but Moxley can't get pinned yet.

I don’t see why it doesn’t, to be honest. C2E2 is one of the biggest in the world. Not quite New York or San Diego but it’s a perfect place to make an attempt to see if doing crossovers like this works. Because no one is in town to see AEW, it’s to attend the convention. Inherently, by trying to piggy back off another event, you’re not as important. WWE or UFC would never have one of their four major shows of the year piggy backing off something like the Final Four or Sundance.I don’t see how that’s supposed to be a knock on AEW. Thats more so an indictment on how of those companies aren’t forward thinking. Also, those fanbases don’t really intersect with wrestling like the C2E2 crowd.

Maaaan I saw “Chicago” and went “AGAIN?!” But it makes sense, it makes sense.
Not a huge fan of the name but I’m open to it.

Fyter Fest made several of my friends into wrestling fans by speaking their language. All but one friend I have who is into wrestling got into wrestling thanks to being shown it by us, and they're by and large, surprise, comic book fans and gamers and shit. I think tying themselves to a major event like this absolutely makes them look big, because these are places that major entertainment industries are sending their people. Maybe not, as mentioned, to the degree of SDCC or NYCC. But for a company in the position AEW is in right now of new but still noteworthy enough, attachment here is great. They're on the up and building their brand so it makes sense to partner here, but they're also notable enough for partnering to matter. It's the best outcome really.

Right, wrestling has benefited from gateways before. Wrestling was enormous from '98 to 2000 or so, and I do not think it's fully a coincidence that it coincided with the AKI games on N64. No, I am not suggesting it caused a boom, but it did feed into it when people who didn't even like wrestling noticed, "wow, these games are really fun. Huh, lot of interesting personalities in here", and that genuinely pulled a good number of people in. There's something to be said about meeting someone on common ground, and if it helps AEW do that, that can only be a good thing.

I don't know about San Diego, but there are a number of good venues for wrestling close enough to the Javits Center if they ever want to run a show around NYCC time, like the Hammerstein Ballroom and Madison Square Garden.

Revolution is a bit of an uninspired name, but doing a show alongside C2E2 is a great idea.
This will also be in the Wintrust Arena in downtown Chicago at McCormick Place (where C2E2 is), and not at the Sears Center again nearly an hour from Chicago out in Hoffman Estates. They might pull in some Chicago people who didn't want to or couldn't drive out to the suburbs.

It does say a lot about how popular a promotion is that having a PPV twice in the same city upsets people because they want it closer to them.
