A shame to hear she got that hurt as I didn't watch tonight By the sounds of it, they didn't take care of her right until they realized oh shit she is f***ed. Charlotte and Becky are vets they should know better I think Becky quickly realized it. You could catch her several times talking to Kairi telling her to stay down, and comforting her. Charlotte didn't care though, and it makes her look incredibly unprofessional at best. It seems like an audible was called by Becky to end the match early as well. I got to watch for myself I find it a bit difficult to think Becky notices it but doesn't tell Charlotte as well. Charlotte usually is on the ball with this so I doubt it was her being a bitch but it was negligent

I didn’t see the match. But this sounds utterly horrifying. When you can point to multiple parts of the match and wonder if that was where somebody was hurt, it is indeed horrifying.

Also, at some point, we have to question Kairi's capacity to take this schedule and the physicality it involves. She is very small and very light. Same with Alexa Bliss. They just whiplash all over like mad when they are thrown around. With little time to recover, damage piles on fast. Asuka isn't that much taller than them, but she must have an easy 20-30 pounds on them, it matters. Yeah, you could see the difference with her being fine after Becky buttdropped her through the table.

Now this isn't to say what happened tonight can always be avoided in this type of match but what happened to Kairi tonight can definetly in the future be pushed more to advocate a much more character driven direction.
because you can see with Becky and Charlotte they were tossing around KW with a hint of recklessness and argueably carlessness when it came to Kairi.
But Asuka and Kairi tended to really emphasis character like when they tied up Becky and injected something in the match that was not coming from Becky or Charlotte and one can definetly say now that it was both entertaining and knowing what happened to Kairi a clearly safer route.
This thought probably made more sense in my head but eh.

If this is all confirmed, WWE should eat shit from the mainstream media for it. Total lack of consideration for the wellness of a performer in a time where there has never been more focus on the effects of concussions. People get hurt and sometimes you don’t realize it until it’s too late. I get that, but with 4 performers in the match and x number of refs around, there were lots of them, I want to believe that communication and not realisation was the issue here. But hindsight is always 20/20 I get that. Also, Kairi might have wanted to keep going, this was the biggest match in her career, a main event on PPV. There isn't much you can do if somebody doesn't want to stay down.

Refs really should've stepped in though.

I didn’t see the match. But this sounds utterly horrifying. Not even taking the injury into mind, the match was really sloppy and dragged on for far too long

It is the ref job to notice that shit as well Really off the ball tonight in this instance

Even if it had gone off as planned I’m not sure it would have been any good. Charlotte and Becky definitely had no regard for their opponents for a large part of it, like I’m sure that everyone was cool with going hard, but you’ve got to be more aware. One of the more odd matches lately.

That breaks your f***ing heart not just because we know she clearly is out of it but you see absoloute heartbreak on her face likely wanting to tough it out and keep going but Asuka comforting her and telling her not to continue.

I think Charlotte literally never tried to grab the belts and I think Becky only tried once.

Kairi was giving it her all and then some. I'm rewatching the match right now and she still did so much after those spots we named. We don't even know when it happened but she kept doing these crazy spots not giving up the entire time. I don't know why no one called the match, I don't know why they didn't get her out of there. She deserves better but nobody can't say that she didn't do her damnest nor can they say that she's trash or not great enough. She was literally putting her body on the line for all of the women involved because she didn't want to f*** up their moment. This is sad.

I think she also smashed herself in the face with a chair. It wasn’t on camera but King made reference to it after her failed attempt to throw a chair in the ring.

But that same throw on Charlotte or Rhea Ripley or Shayna Bayzler doesn't have the same effect on them. I agree with you on one thing, there should be a consideration on limiting the throws that are done on the smaller girls, that's the adaptation that's necessary. It's really a weight thing. Sasha Banks is a couple inches taller than Bliss / Kairi, but she's rail thin, so she has a her issues too, notwithstanding her capacity to brain herself on occasion. LuFisto is barely taller than the ropes but she's like 160, she's built like a fire plug, so if you toss her around she'll be fine. Of course, now she's 20+ years into her career and that physicality took its toll there too.

This is like a minute after the exploder spot. Kairi's more wobbly, moving slower and she's just out of it but she's still doing moves. Afterwards she did the Elbow to Becky but Becky booted her in the face and here's when Asuka finds out.
