And an encouraging update on Kairi’s condition: Made the mistake of reading the comments... This is gonna get real bad for Charlotte, like worse than Brie Bella injuring Liv Morgan that time.

When smarks resent someone, it takes very little for that resentment to come out, even if it ends up being contradicted by the actual facts at hand.

You know, if they wanted to do heel Asuka vs. face Kairi at WM they could use this as material for the feud with Asuka being jealous that everybody kept thinking about Kairi when Asuka essentially had to fight Becky and Charlotte and win by herself. That'd require them doing something with women who aren't the 4HW or Alexa, though.

Yes, other than the actual injury to Kairi my biggest concern is the abuse Charlotte's going to get on Twitter even though, like I said, she doesn't really have a history of hurting anybody. It sucks that these kinds of things happen from time to time, but Kairi seems to be doing much better now and I'm sure nobody felt worse about it than Charlotte herself if she was the reason.

Saw this blowing up on Twitter and Reddit, and yeah, Charlotte is Public Enemy #1 for a lot of people.
Went and watched it. Feels like Charlotte could've picked up on things sooner, that Kairi was hurt legit. I would say that they were all really throwing hard and wild out there from the get-go, mind. I do wonder if there was the intent to really put on a show and the intensity went a bit too far.
Hope Kairi will recover smoothly. She's been so entertaining in this role (even more than the Pirate Princess).

Oh man, the Brie thing was mostly because the smarks hate the Bella’s.
Charlotte haters + nerdy smarky Kairi stans, this is not going to be pretty.

I mean, I'm not going to deny that I criticized Brie on here after she injured Liv. I even said she should just stop wrestling and stick to managing Nikki. I don't think that comes close to the hate she got in other places on the internet or people sending death threats to Nia Jax and bodyshaming because she accidentally punched Becky for realsy, though.
I already think Charlotte gets too much undeserved hate as it is, so I'll definitely be avoiding those comments sections.

I haven't seen the whole TLC PPV yet, but as someone who's been concussed in a match myself & can't remember anything that happened that night, it's not nice. Shoutout to Becky for taking care of Kairi once she realised what happened, true professional.
I'm not going to blame Charlotte, but if Kairi isn't jumping for the powerbomb spot and you have to lift her yourself, maybe then you should realise something is wrong, because Kairi doesn't go dead weight for people on lifting moves. Other than that, I really put the blame on the referees and everyone they communicate with from the Gorilla Position for not figuring this out and getting her out of there sooner.
I really hope Charlotte doesn't get too much backlash on socials from this.

Props to Becky for realising what's going on and trying her best to keep Kairi safe.
Also, I hope Kairi is OK, obviously, but I also hope that Charlotte doesn't get treated like the second coming of Nia Jax since this is the only time I've seen her be as reckless.
I hope people don't use this as an excuse to say that Becky and Charlotte are reckless. It's a horrible thing for Kairi to go through, but I don't think it means that Becky and Charlotte should be raked over the coals.

streamable.com/fzdvmHave not seen this one mentioned yet Charlotte f***ing cracks Kairi in the back of the head with the kendo stick I am about at a point where I am like f*** Charlotte the more I see of her in this match ..once is an accident , twice is carelessness but more than that it becomes clear she had no f***s to give. Oh Jesus. The crack from the cane when it made contact with Kairi’s skull was easily one of the most sickening sounds I’ve heard from a kendo stick spot.

Feel sorry for Kairi. She was definitely hurt, but I'm not going to jump on Charlotte. That cane shot looked bad, but definitely no malice behind it. Also the Refs should've done more...alot more to protect her sooner.

I'm more annoyed at the officials more than anything. It's their job to keep an eye out for this stuff.
EVERYONE else could tell something was seriously wrong with Kairi. Even if it took Charlotte a whole lot longer to realize for some reason.
By time it got to Charlotte power bombing Kairi full force through the table I was like "are you f***ing serious?" And I have defended Charlotte for years. But this one kinda pissed me off.
Everyone seemed to be blind to it except Becky and Asuka.
Major props to Lynch for what she did during that match. A true professional. And respect for Asuka to carry the match and be the ring general for her team helping Kairi out.
The part where Asuka goes to talk to Kairi after the powerbomb through the table and Kairi looks like she's almost in tears gets me.

Even if it took Charlotte a whole lot longer to realize for some reason. Yeah, this seems like it was an official problem if anything. The fact they weren't doing everything to prevent more from happening or at least changing some kind of plan, especially for a company this big and with high PR stakes at times, is dissapointing. Like, I get heat of the moment stuff but that's why you do everything you can to prevent these incidents.

One thing that I do genuinely appreciate about this place is something that should be the standard for discussions when botches like this happen, there's no witch-hunting, nobody is calling for Becky or Charlotte's heads (probably because Becky seemed to be on the ball when she realised what happened) and while you can pin the blame on Charlotte, this seems like a case of bad luck, it's not like Charlotte's like Nia Jax in terms of her recklessness.
Just thought I'd mention how I hope Kairi is OK, but how it's also nice that people aren't wanting Charlotte and Becky's heads on a stick since it's pro wrestling and injuries can happen at any time.

Glad to see she didn’t get hit with the monitors like I originally posted, she took enough questionable hits.

excessive bump dick measuring contests Considering the company and their treatment of women, if they DIDN'T go all out then people would jump on them for that, too.

There’s a couple of things I got from this.
The refs need to do a lot better communication wise when things like this happen.
I’m not the biggest fan of Becky, but what she did in there tonight made me a fan of her as a person.
I think wrestlers need to stop going for peoples heads after a ‘botch’. After the spear, Charlotte gives Kairi a decent slap across the face. I get wrestlers are mad and want to put on the best show, but head injuries are no joke and they should be doing more to protect each other’s health. Charlotte is not the only one who does this. A good ‘Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!’ goes a long way.

Right people like assigning blame to explain bad things that happen when it can just be an unfortunate accident. But like mentioned above in the thread if you do not like someone coming it because much easier to blame them....

I do have to wonder how much potential impact the language barrier on the part of Sane might have had on her being able to communicate to referees and opponents about her condition. English isn’t her primary language, after all, so if she’s had a knock to the head and her body’s on some kind of autopilot, presumably all the referees are able to do is try and pick up on bodily cues as anything they try to ask her will probably be responded to in Japanese. And even then, the bodily cues can easily be misinterpreted as Sane selling the offense of the match, and speaking for myself, I didn’t even pick up on Sane being really hurt until she sandbagged the Flair spear.
