Like also I forgot to mention...the belts!!! Remember when the belts were all majestic and glorious looking?
You know the GOLD belts?? O wait nevermind let’s turn them into pennies!!! Wait nevermind how about we turn them into Nickels! But lmao you know what would really be awesome??? So we got Raw and Smackdown let’s use the same belts, just change the color of the strap!!! So brilliant!!
Or anything someone mentions the tag titles in promos and how they are “carrying the gold” when in reality the tag titles haven’t been Gold in god k owes how long!!
O also anyone else notice how the title belts now have Velcro to hook together?? Yep. Looks horrible.

I’ve been a fan a wrestling longer then I can remember. Seriously. My first wrestling memory is Macho Man turning on Hogan. Yet I knew who everyone was.
There’s been a lot of dumb shit especially over the last 20 years. But it was always there even as background noise. Till one day my roommate cut the cord. It was odd at first not having Raw on every Monday, but now I dont even miss it. So now all I watch is ppvs and the random Smackdown. I feel I take my fandom a lot less seriously as it’s not a major investment of my time. Some how it makes me enjoy it more. Of course some ppvs are terrible, some I just watch on delay and watch the guys I like. Which some how now includes Roman a guy was so angry with and burned out on years ago. I like that I’m able to watch the show as a casual fan and not take booking or production decisions seriously.
Raw is a three hour infomercial. Seriously if something interesting does happen I’ll just watch it on YouTube.

I have been watching wrestling since I was 5 years old and saw Steamboat VS Savage at WM 3. I have watched it through the best & the worst. I will continue to watch it until my dying day. I watch it to support the men & women that are busting their asses week in and week out for our enjoyment. And even though the Gauntlet Match's ending was a waste of time, the hour leading up to it was great and everyone deserves credit for it. That is why I love wrestling.

I stopped watching Raw months ago. Just too much dumb shit that takes all the fun from wrestling for me and I just couldn’t do it anymore.
NXT is awesome, Smackdown is slightly less terrible, and AEW is rough but trying. I don’t have the willpower to watch 3 hours of unover dudes in heatless matches, bad storylines, and unlistenable (Lawler f***ing sucks) commentary.

I was honestly in the same place until I just realized I needed to get away from the product. I pretty much just watch AEW, NXT, and some NJPW. It's one of the great things about today's landscape is the fact there are so many options. So I know exactly how you're feeling, trust me.

Your mileage may vary, but after I threw in the towel on the WWE product and the practices of the deranged old man pulling the strings, AEW Dynamite has definitely filled the void. It's not perfect, but most weeks it's damn good.
If that's not your cup of tea, there are a lot of choices out there. It's a good time for alternatives to the McMahonopoly.

I've found myself watching the WWE less and less this year and 100% of the blame is on the creative team. They seemingly have completely forgotten how to book a babyface. They continue to book storylines that insult the fans intelligence (Lana/Rusev/Lashley, for example). If not intelligence insulting they, they are just stupid in general like angles that involved an eyelash and a ham on Smackdown this week. The continuous pushing of Baron Corbin, who I have never found the least bit interesting while not pushing more deserving people. Right now these shows seem to be designed to entertain one person, Vince. That's why I catch AEW when I can because their product doesn't feel stale and they aren't insulting anybody's intelligence with their storylines.

If you've been watching your whole life, there's a good chance a lot of this aggression is coming from a place of burn-out. I'd suggest taking a voluntary six month break and then come back if you feel you miss it. If it's still not doing it for you, take another break.

Only watch NXT and ppv's on delay, their main shows have been mostly garbage fire for years it's not even worth watching even when they push talented people since they will burn into a 12 week feud that hit's the same beats every week and local man heel is shoehorned into the affair.

One of the best decisions I ever made with my life in 2019 was to stop watching the WWE main roster product. I'll still watch NXT, but being done with Raw and Smackdown and watching other promotions that I actually enjoy like AEW, New Japan, and Impact has done a tone for my outlook not just on wrestling, but life in general. It's a great time to explore new promotions thanks to accessibility to majors (AEW, NJPW), mid-majors (MLW, Impact, ROH), and even indies across the country and international feds without domestic TV deals being more convenient than ever.

It is currently the most diverse and widespread opportunity for fans to get into ANY wrestling they want, just off the top of my head the wrestling available to watch is
AEW for free and live on Youtube for DARK NWA Powerrr is free on Youtube and has FITE PPVs Beyond Wrestling has Uncharted Territory weekly and an ABUNDANCE of free matches on Youtube GCW has PPVs on FITE New Japan has their own service and will have an American Promotion soon, they have also uploaded a ton of free matches, even whole shows on their Youtube AAW will have its first FITE TV PPV soon! MLW has a weekly series I believe Impact is free to view on Twitch... and it's improved a lot, no really it has.
Overall... WWE don't have to be "It" anymore. There's so much out there and only continues to be more and more out there in the states and beyond that your time is precious and WWE doesn't need to make you miserable if you don't wanna devote all that time to it
You do you man, enjoy what's out there, and also I agree come to the AEW threads they're great!

Outside of a couple of bad apples that show up here and there, the AEW threads are fun and generally positive. They poke fun but also do it in a "laughing with them" sorta vibe.
NXT threads aren't as active as I think a lot of people here who'd comment tend to prefer to watch AEW live over NXT. But they're also pretty positive for the most part.

Take a moment to think of Seth Rolins' table before you stop watching. It's Christmas.

Come watch AEW with us. We have punch and cookies. * (*sadly, there is no punch and cookies really. BUT A-E-Dub is quite fun.) We have Orange juice, too.

Just stop watching it will make your life 1000 percent better You don't have to consume it because it is there. I refuse to watch this shit weekly besides NXT, i'll watch segment and keep up with results Just stop watching Yup, I echo these sentiments, this is exactly what I did. I couldn't take Vince's soulless homogenized no one feels special or is pushed correctly methods anymore. And I survived the god awful neverending Super Cena "Career Killer" push for over a decade. I came back for a dip when Bray Wyatt returned as The Fiend, but was f***ed over weeks later and dipped back out. If not for NXT, I wouldn't watch any WWE at all. Last night's PPV was the first main roster one I've watched (that didn't include Survivor Series b/c of NXT) in a long long time. The wrestling was good for the most part, but everyone feels generic. Vince just takes anything special and turns it into shit. He has an amazing knack for it. AEW is nice, even though it's becoming hit or miss with me, but at least there's a company that listens to the fans/criticisms and tries to do the "right thing". NXT is also good for this, but they have a longer history to fall back on. If WWE is stressing you out/pissing you off just know there are a TON of us who can empathize. Take a break from the main roster, I'm on permanent sabbatical until probably the Rumble, and WM but other than that I just don't care. And I'm sure both of those shows will be chock full of Vince being Vince and reminding me why I stopped watching in the first place.

I watch NXT and AEW as well. I was actually at the AEW Dynamite episode two weeks back in Champaign Illinois and was 5th row facing camera and even got a little mention on one of King Ross videos of me holding a sign that said “Chuck Taylor owes me money” and Ross did a bit where he showed my sign and said he wanted to k ow why he owes me money
I do enjoy AEW for the most part but I’m starting to get annoyed by their product as well. Jim Ross is terrible and seems like every show ends the same and I get their roster is small but how many times/combination of SCU/Luchasaurus/young bucks/PnP can we have?

Save for the post-Mania Raw tradition (which will likely end because even those suck now), I've been off Raw and Smackdown for the second time since the week before Reigns vacated the title. I like to think I'm happier for not having to deal with that aggravation.
Wrestling is more accessible than ever, so def. don't be afraid to explore your options and find what you want to watch.
