Andrade came off like such a tool there. Hey, I'm going to hit my lethal move on the exposed concrete and then not bother to roll my opponent in for an easy win. That'll get so much heat!

I guess if you beat Lesnar, you gain his ability to just walk down to the ring after a bunch of guys actually fight, and insert yourself into a title match. |

Don’t forget that it ultimately was to build an angle between two guys who are already over and they could have played out backstage at any point in the show. It really just blows for Ricochet and Humberto Carrillo who put in a ton of work in that match. I don’t want to be negative on WWE, but they make it impossible sometimes.

Rey said he'd give Andrade a future title shot in a later promo but it's a moot point. Those guys felt like they were out there killing themselves for nothing, absolutely no reason they went out there and spotfested the shit out of each other, to NO REACTION. The only reaction the crowd gave them was when Matt Hardy lost to Ricochet (Which I mean yikes). And then not only does the match mean nothing but Andrade looks like an idiot but is a total afterthought for not simply pinning Humberto, and then Seth just strolls in, and gets a title match simply because he's Seth Rollins.
This was some really bad booking, like some of the most garbage I've seen in awhile to screw up something so simple, the perfect example to show how bloated and overbooked to hell these shows actually are.

It's one of those things that's off-putting for a viewer, too. Like, why promote something like that if there's no payoff to it? An hour's a lot of time to invest and, as you said, it's a long time for talent to be working for. |
